I think they definitely need quite a long time away, not just for themselves but to make the public and fans miss them.

 

The past couple of years has been pretty full on with Steps activity, and for them it’ll have been more like 3 years - remembering that they actually filmed the What the Future Holds video in late 2019 & were all ready to go to launch the album in early 2020 before covid prevented it from being possible.

 

They ended up releasing 3 albums within two years, which is pretty remarkable. They embarked on a very difficult (due to Covid) tour. They’ve certainly earned the break!

 

Lee will be 50 by 2025 :o and look 30 at most x - it’s great that he’ll be able to spend far more quality time with his child now that Steps activities have ceased.

I think it's just more time out for them as steps has been full on since the release of WTFH part one so I'd say all of 2023 is time out and maybe in 2024 they will start meeting up to discuss a new album with 2025 in mind to finish and release.

Ya i was only thinking the same thing, interesting what they will do to mark their 30th anniversary. On steps as a group it will be quiet and the time apart will probably do them good long term aswell,

Internally they will be together working in 2024 but externally it will be 2025.

you never know, it will probably be a case they either return much sooner than we think or will be gone for longer than we expect.
I wonder will we see Lee maybe take part in strictly or dancing on ice during their time out or maybe I'm a celeb get me out of here.

Totally understandable if he does, and they all do need a break as they have worked hard for the last few years. Faye also needs the time too to deal with her mothers passing which is something that takes time.
