Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

That's impressive. I was hoping for a 11 or 12 but 14 still isn't anything to feel bad about.

Week 1 - 14,649 (#26)

Week 2 - 15,788 (#23)

Week 3 - 20,837 (#12)

Week 4 - 25,867 (#9)

Week 5 - 25,549 (#8)

Week 6 - 22,814 (#10)

Week 7 - 21,976 (#12)

Week 8 - 20,912 (#10)

Week 9 - 18,830 (#14)

Total sales - 187,222

Its actually amazing. 2 months ago we were hoping for 1 week top 75.

It does seem like a bigger era, i just know BMG will have lots coming up to please us but not our bank balances :)

right we really need a daily guide to Padam Padam avoiding ACR....... we need to streaming lots this week, start today!!!!!!!!!!!

What do we think is coming next in terms of Padam Padam? i am guessing trying to avoid ACR this week, then on week 3 of the next ACR avoiding week (so in 2 weeks) we will get a new single (+ residency announcement) and Padam tagged on to it for streaming purposes to try and avoid ACR again..... then the album promo will boost in the weeks after

Sound plausable?

I have a feeling single 2 might not be too far away at this point.

I am a little bit confused as to how they are going to deal with the new song stateside, considering Padam won't be officially sent to US pop radio till 1 August and it seems like it could actually do a little damage there (even if not's the second coming of Head). They need whatever damage they can get before Kylie starts her residency there later this October.

Whatever happens, I am genuinely excited to see Kylie's next move. It's been a while since I've felt this good about an era. Everything's going perfectly thus far!

Big week the week ahead now for padam padam, hopefully it can avoid acr so hopefully bmg are on baorad to help prevent it.
I just want PP to get as many sales as possible now, so if we can save it from ACR then that round help. I do also think a 4 min edit for Itunes and streaming would also help in addition to the longer version.

Also CGYOOMH has gone from 160k views on YouTube per day to 278k

Where are all those extra views coming from?

Those aren't extra views, it seems to be recovering from a few bad weeks. It averaged 300,000 views a day from January to May, then dropped to 225,000 a day in June, and then to 180,000 a day in July. This is the lowest its daily average has been since last August, so I feel like there was some other issue that brought Head down. Maybe an algorithmic change?

They'll likely just skip the second UK single there and go straight for the third single, which they have done before when it comes to dealing with markets that aren't UK / Australia.

This is how 'In Your Eyes' and Dua's 'Physical' got robbed of a chance stateside

This is kind of why I feel why a more traditional Kylie-esque single #2 (like Hold On To Now is said to be) might be a better choice - because imho I think Padam Padam will still be riding high and single #2 will kind of end up overlooked in the grand scheme of things.

I've rarely seen 2nd singles of pop acts do incredibly well in the US in this streaming era unless you're a Taylor Swift or something. So I guess, like in the past, they'll let the USA enjoy PP whilst the UK gets single #2.

i quite like the Australian PP chart run!

You feel just one live performance or feature and it could explode. Is Kylie in Australia right now do we think?

I don't think she or BMG really care about the Australian chart as other than a stat, it doesn't mean much commercially or in terms of influence. I'd read somewhere that she even had her bmg contract written in a way that she doesn't have to promote unless out of choice. Reason she did things like sydney pride was because she was paid damn well. Other than that, her Aus promotions for albums are extremely limited these days (esp where she has to sing) other than the skype/Zoom style interviews.

Taken off BBC Radio 1 and 2 playlists

If PP goes into ACR then she is dropping out of the top 40 straight away in the UK. Dropping off Apple now, down to 20th at their streaming so they need to work on those streams not just Spotify. Maybe BMG & Kylie though are wanting ACR to then focus on single 2 in UK and increasing those album pre-orders?

The new song should be coming very soon.

Thursday release ? Probably...... + LV Residency announcement and maybe some sort of Social media advert, almost like one of those X-factor montages or a special filming at the actual venue

Maybe single 2 video will actually be filmed at LV venue ?
