I was hoping she could avoid it again this week! But then I calculated she needs around 30,000 extra streams (compared with its average daily figure) across yesterday and today, and that just seems a little too much 😅 and I can’t imagine the market is down by 2% with all of Taylor’s extra streams!

 

Anyway - here’s hoping that next week the market will decline (without a new Taylor album) and Kylie will increase - therefore extending her chart run by another 2 weeks. Remember, Tuesday’s Spotify figure was only marginally below last week, and gaining on her previous week’s figures. Taylor may end up helping Kylie to lengthen her stay in the top 20 after all!

Yes but in the early 2000s it would've exited the chart by week 15 and finish with under 300,000 sales, while now it's going to go upwards of 20 weeks hopefully with 'just' a number 8 peak and probably eventually end up going platinum.

There's no reason it won't, it's been a big top 10 hit and will keep clocking up decent numbers even when it leaves the chart.

Day 57 in the Itunes Worldwide Chart and Kylie is +2 to 18th

I still don’t get the appeal to this song. She’s released far better lead singles but glad it’s doing ok for her. I reckon it will stay T10 this week but drop next week again.
