There is no denying it is very expensive for what it is, the cause that it is going to is great and its good that it will raise funds but i think only very die hard fans will have bought this due to the price.

The price tag will have put many people off.

That said, very limited people would be aware of its availability.

I don't think it helps that they don't have a group social media page that was maintained over the years. Their Instagram being deleted a short while after they disbanded was pretty short sighted in the long run. They haven't pushed it much on their own accounts.

I just hope however this performs, the label still sees value in pressing the albums. They're long overdue!

Its a shame they dont have a group social media as it does all help and doesnt take a huge amount of maintenance. I though the girls would push this vinyl a little more than they have done so just to try and raise as much money as possible if nothing else. Surely the label will still see value in issuing the albums on vinyl and i really hope it happens sooner rather than later.

Girls Aloud vinyl album have to hit the market.

They need to make it happen.

Yeah I need all their albums on vinyl asap !
#2 in the singles sales chart behind Pointless by Lewis Capaldi. Do we know how many downloads he sold?

Also #1 in the Vinyl Singles chart and Physical Singles chart :cheer:

#2 on Singles Sales seems fairly impressive but unfortunately we don't have information about how much Lewis sold at #1. However we do know that Wham at #7 sold 1,004 downloads.

If Wham sold 1,004 for number 7 Girls sold at most would have sold 2k, but great to see them get the vinyl number 1.

Ahh, that's history! Very interesting to see those behind the scenes shots.

Considering they filmed it on what was only their second full day as a group, it's kind of remarkable how well it ended up turning out!

Falls 1-28 in the Vinyl Singles chart, 1-37 in the Physical Singles chart and 2-out of the Singles Sales chart.

I managed to find out some information from last week... in the Singles Sales chart, Lewis Capaldi sold 1,733 copies at #1 and Ed Sheeran/Elton John sold 1,293 copies at #3. Therefore Sound of the Underground sold somewhere between those two figures.

A bit disappointing when we know there are 5000 copies pressed  Not that we know how many copies went abroad, but surely UK would have been the majority of sales?

I guess that's also the day that the SOTU reissue will be announced.

Is that… definite?

No, but if RideOrDie's claim is true, then it's a logical explanation as to why Polydor would choose to digitally release a physical exclusive track.
