Why oh why don't Halloween songs get the same treatment in October :lol: feel like I been only one listening to them all month

 

I always find it strange how the marketeers have tried to push Halloween the whole month of October but it hasn’t worked. People have started putting up decorations too though which I never did when I was younger it was a one night party not a month long festival like Xmas. I do find it strange how the kids get a full week off for Halloween now too, I always remember it was just a long weekend when I was younger?

I’m not sure where you are, but down south it’s always been a week off in the middle of October for half term - nothing after that for Halloween!

It's definitely not "a full week off for Halloween" here - half term is this current week, which is pretty standard at the end of October (roughly the halfway point between the school year starting in September and the Christmas holidays starting in mid-December). Halloween is actually the first day back, there's not even a day off for it let alone a week.

Actually think Halloween seems very subdued this year, it doesn't help that it's on a Monday and school day.

I'm sure even in Ireland they don't give kids a week off specifically for Halloween lol? Surely it just coincides with half term like it usually does every year?!
