I actually quite enjoy Half a heart. Still, they needed a stronger song to survive imo.

#8 is coming later today. Any predictions?

Ya they def needed something far stronger and it was a huge indication that tgey were really struggling to come anywhere near close to the success of Steps

Totally. I also think the fact they broke up the band and starting quite soon as a duo didn’t do them any favors as well. I didn’t want to like them back then as I was still ‘mad’.
I was a bit like that too but part of me looked forward to great poo songs like steps byt that didnt happen.looking back it was a harsh mice by them and I can only imagine how the other 3 felt.

8. Russell Watson feat. Faye Tozer : Someone like you

:ne: Average score: 6.75

:ne: Highest score: 11 (Herbs)

:ne: Lowest score: 3 (Rodent_boy, Jessie Where)

> At #8 we have the only Faye related release! During the countdown it got very different marks but in the end it got a very respectabele score. Released on May 6th 2002 Faye became another member of Steps having a top 10 hit as it just piped in at #10 in the UK charts. It also charted in Scotland (#12) and Ireland (#46). The song didn’t hang around that long with 4 weeks inside the top 75. Still, I do wonder why miss Tozer didn’t release more music after this? <

Tuuuuuuuuune, as evidenced by my rate

I find it interesting that there is another version of Someone Like You with Cleo (of Cleopatra fame) on it

Proof reading is a good thing before pressing send :kink:

Released on May 6th 2002 Faye became the 4th member of Steps having a top 10 hit as it just piped in at #10 in the UK charts.

Faye achieved her Top 10 in the same week that H & Claire achieved theirs, so technically doing it at the same time as each other made them all the first members to do it, the first three all at once. You could argue that Faye was the first to achieve it given that her position was officially announced before H & Claire in the chart countdown. Then Lisa was the 4th member to get a Top 10, a year later.

7. H and Claire: DJ

> Next we have another H and Claire release at #7. Which means they only got one song left in this countdown. Released quite quickly after the breakup it hit the shops on May 6th 2002. This became a decent hit for the duo as it reached #3 in the UK charts and spend 11 weeks inside the top 75. Besides that it hit #4 in Scotland and #69 in Australia. After this they never reached the top 3 again and the project ended after their debut album. Do we think the public was still ‘mad’ at them or was the material not strong enough? If you ask me it’s a little bit of both. <

Someone like you is far too low for me, i would have it much higher but i didn't expect it to do great in the rate. Dj, is ok, i don't really listen to it and haven't done so in years, it really wasn't strong enough for the lead single for them to really make a go of things, with everything that happened they really needed something so much stronger.
