Benidorm Fest, the surprise smash hit of NF season last year, is back in early 2023 starring the following contestants:

Agoney (OT 2017)

Alfred Garcia (Eurovision 2018)

Alice Wonder

Aritz Arén

Blanca Paloma (Benidorm Fest 2022)

E’Femme

Famous (OT 2018)

Fusa Nocta

José Otero

Karmento

Megara

Meler

Rakky Ripper

Sharonne (Drag Race España 2 winner)

Siderland

Sofía Martín

Twin Melody

Viccó

Songs should be out soonish (last year's songs definitely came out towards the end of 2021 so expect them around the same time).

Excited about what Rakky Ripper, Sharonne, Aritz, Agoney, E'Femme, Famous, Sofía Martin, Megara and Fosa Nocta have to offer. But something tells me the hidden gems will be unexpected.

Excited about Siderland here. They peaked with this

Something similar may get them a good result imo.

Yesterday there was a prime time show in which we could see them performing covers or their own previous songs.

I think the best ones of the night were Blanca Paloma, Famous, Jose Otero, Siderland, Sofía Martín, Alfred and Sharonne. Megara was great in her style I guess Rakky Ripper did well as I don't think anyone expected her to sing that well live. Agoney has a great voice and stage presence but that song doesn't make him any good. Some chaos happened to specially with E'Femme who seemed a bit lost on stage. Sofía Martín and Fosa Nocta have great possibilities on becoming mainstream and have hits in Spain I believe. Twin Melody were better at singing than others and I think they might get the televote as they have millions of followers on social media.

Now we need to wait 2 months for the official songs... Blanca Paloma told the audience to get ready to dance, so we just don't know what's about to come from each artist.

IMO, the best of the night

Oh dear that E'Femme performance
At least Sharonne left the blackface at home for Donna Summer this time 💀

This is a really strong edition indeed. I like it much more than last edition. So many of them can become Eurovision hits x

My top 10 as per 24th December:

1. Rakky Ripper - Tracción

2. Sofía Martín - Tuki

3. E´Femme - UFF!

4. Sharonne - Aire

5. Vicco - Nochentera

6. Agoney - Quiero Arder

7. Fusa Nocta - Mi Familia

8. Megara - Arcadia

9. Blanca Paloma - Eaea

10. Aritz - Flamenco

Any of these 10 would be great BeFest winners.

Looks like Tracción is the early frontrunner
I don't think Rakky has any chance of winning, her vocals won't leave the juries impressed sadly. Even though it is my fav and one of the catchiest as per today, I think the contenders are among Fusa Nocta, Agoney, Blanca Paloma or Megara. To a lesser level Alice Wonder, Vicco and Sofía Martín. None of the others seem to have strong public support nor be able to impact the jury at the same time. Hoping for a live performance shock a la Chanel last year.
I cannot wait to see how Rakky performs her song it seems almost impossible but I love it :music:

So excited, in a few days I am going to be in Benidorm and seeing the show live.

My favourites are EFemme and Fusa Nocta, just hope we don't get a ballad as a winner.

Seems like the most popular songs are those of Fusa, Agoney and Vicco, at least they are the one with more streams. But seems quite open, even Jose Otero, Alice Wonder, Aritz or Blanca Paloma might take it. So many possible contenders! ^_^

TRACCIÓN is the only song here I find remotely interesting tbh :( I'd love it to win but I have the feeling Spain's gonna Spain and choose something a bit blander. I'll be watching along though and hoping some of the songs are elevated by a live performance in the way SloMo was!

Definitely gonna tune into this for the first time this year - I’ve only heard the first semi so far but I love Quiero Arder and Mi Familia

I posted my reaction video to the first semi today for further thoughts ~

Looking forward to hearing the second semi this weekend!
