Posted October 29, 20222 yr Just Wanted to talk about this new Lil Uzi Vert Track which this week has become their highest charting uk top 100 single in over two and a half years since the end of his "Eternal Atake" era. It enters at #64. It is seen as the first single from Uzi's upcoming mixtape "The Pink Tape" set to drop next year. hqunRm_dSHw Edited December 30, 20222 yr by Y'all Starlight
December 27, 20222 yr Author Would have been top 40 for the last two weeks if christmas songs didn't exist. Anyway since I last posted in this thread it has gone top 40 in The US, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. But it has gone a step forward in the Netherlands and gone to #3 there! Hopefully will break the UK top 40 next year.
December 27, 20222 yr Well it's an intriguing track from an intriguing artist (for good and bad reasons, lots of violence with this one too). Surprisingly they've (Uzi uses those pronouns now a la Sam Smith) never made the top 20 here, although 'XO Life' and 'Bad and Boujee' were much bigger than their 25 and 30 peaks suggest).
December 27, 20222 yr I encountered this track on youtube yesterday in its 'Jersey club mix' form. SEQR9cNWVVI But the original actually isn't that much different to it in style imo. I like the synths in both versions anyway. Edited December 27, 20222 yr by TheSnake
December 27, 20222 yr As I said in the Coi Leray thread the other day, the original is already a Jersey club song, yes. Have seen a lot of people saying this song sounds like an unfinished demo and I do see what they mean but I think I am on board with this anyway, definitely feels quite unique and a breath of fresh air (though that may just be because I'm not very well acquainted with this particular subgenre so this is basically my first exposure to it).
