This week features the most competitive week as we see the highest number of new entries entering the top 50 at a staggering number of 27!! Unfortunately, we have to bid farewell to 13 new entries last week, which is a side record. Orchestral tracks show a strong showing, with Un secret and Under the Arctic Motion occupying the two highest debut positions. Then, you have Baashaa which you will have no idea what's going on but to bop! Below also features a couple of synthy tracks and some catchy bangers.

 

Wolf enters number one as the long-awaited music video drops. FULL ASSAULT dropped one position to number two, and Descontrolada is closing in. Easy and Setting Of The Sun fill the final 2 top 5 spots. Biggest jump goes to the powerful Finnish metal In Lieu of Flowers.

Number One Entry

 

Wolf is an amazing pop song! I love the loud strings in the chorus which gives the song a good punch. The vocals are mesmerising. Then, there is the breakdown at the bridge which is catchy and pyschadelic, building on to an emphatic ending. This is so polished and I hope this gets traction in mainstream music soon!

 

Highest New Entry

 

Opera hasn't made much showing on the chart, but this blows my mind. This is included in a soundtrack of a French film "Couleurs de l'incendie" as the protagonists navigate through France in the difficult period of 1927 during the rise of right-wing totalitarianism. The operatic vocals are so strong and the orchestration is beautiful. It is otherworldly.

 

Biggest Jump

 

This hits differently. The vocals are on-point and the instrumentation is going all-out. It is a great combination that offers a lot of energy while there remains a lot of variation. The music video shows the arena majestically, which adds another layer to this epic song. Can't wait to see if this will do another Aaj for me :D

 

One to Watch

 

I have no idea what's going on here. It has a lot of ethnic instruments and the vocals are in another league! I'm totally captivated by this song and it stands out so much compared to what I've been listening to lately.

When Bre is forced to let me send Wolf :kink: :kink: Really happy that a lot of the decent chartrunners are doing well in BJSC, Choreograph and Rise to be name a few! REOL's new song is quite good and it is growing on me atm. Thanks John! :D
