December 29, 20222 yr In this forum alone many have commented on how he interrupts others, makes it about himself or his sexuality, dominates etc. when you have a personality that is like this, irrespective of sexuality, you are opening yourself up to be an easy target. It doesn’t make it right, but sometimes being quiet does more than being loud, bolshy and interruptive. I would agree, for H its not to do with his sexuality its the interrupting when others are talking that often annoys me and often i find H takes over interviews which is something that has annoyed me in the past. I dont agree at all with the Twitter hate as that is for different reasons that shouldnt be an issue but as others have said he sometimes needs to make it less about himself.
December 29, 20222 yr I think the problem here is that most of those users commenting really have no idea how he can be an annoying personality interrupting and the likes, they are clearly not Steps fans but instead homophobic bigots using him as a target. If it were comments about how annoying he is or how rude he is then I'd still say people have no right to be so rude themselves as it one thing to comment on here about finding him irritating it is another on his own personal profile where nobody needs to bother going onto if they do not like him, BUT I would agree he doesn't help himself in that area. Those comments have nothing at all to do with his personality more his sexuality.
December 29, 20222 yr I find it crazy that people go to peoples social media accounts purely to be cruel. I agree that if you dont like someone why go on their socials just to leave negative or horrible comments, i would never dream of doing that myself. I also agree its homophobic bigots using him as a target rather than people just not liking his personality. Then again i find it crazy that in 2022 (almost 2023) that sexuality is even an issue, with all the crap that is going on in the world right now someone's sexuality shouldn't be bothering anyone.
December 29, 20222 yr They did a signing at the hmv I used to work for when they’re newest GH came out a few months ago, my friends there all said H & Faye were the only 2 who were nice, welcoming and respectful. The other 3 much less so. Didn’t help it was their tour manager (who was just as rude) with them and not their actual manager though (and I think they were on a busy schedule that day - Notts at 12:30 and then Birmingham for 5 I think) but yeah H & Faye we’re really sweet and made the team feel good. I saw them in Leeds for the WTFHP2 signing and I have to say H was by far the most friendly and welcoming of them all. I have to say though they were all very nice and friendly, although I agree their tour manager was a bit abrupt and Lee was a bit distant with others I noticed. I had purchased 2 cds as I got one for a friend who was unable to attend due to illness but when I got to the front the manager said one only. I responded saying I had one for a friend who was unwell un unable to attend and he said "nope just one" but Lisa overheard and said "no we will sign both what is your friend's name." H was so friendly I had this Pride Hard Rock San Francisco Tshirt on and he was all "I love your tshirt have you been to San Fran pride?" and when I said no I hadn't my mother and father went when on a road trip of the USA and they loved it, he was all "your parents sound so cool." He took the most time to talk and also really made an effort to get into the photos bless him. I told Claire, Lee and Faye about how my dad had included Steps in his wedding speech for me saying "there was early signs of this wedding with my music tastes Spice Girls and Steps.. plus that Lee poster he kept on the inside door of the wardrobe he thought we did not know about" lol, all three of them laughed and Claire said "I like your dad" then turned to tell H as I was leaving and he called out "your dad is so cool tell him I said hi" :lol: He really made the effort.
December 29, 20222 yr I have to say im not surprised H was friendly, as annoying as i find him at times i can equally see him been friendly especially in situations such as signings. Lee i think is more shy than rude he doesn't come across as a guy who would ever be the loudest in the room type, more a keeping a low profile in the back. Faye for some reason i have always felt would be genuinely the nicest in real life.

May 15, 20232 yr Author H recently appeared on Kate Thornton's podcast White Wine Question Time, it's available on platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify. "H on Steps' continued success, the joys & challenges of single parenthood and launching his art career". H hosted a fan party on the Eurovision final day, I think it was in Cardiff... he appeared briefly on The One Show!

May 15, 20232 yr Author I think it was revealed a little while ago that he's dating someone new, not sure if they're still together. However if you're dating someone you could still consider yourself a single parent, if the kids are not yet a responsibilty for the person you're dating... if that makes sense.
