Seeing as I get zero hype every month, even when I wind up doing well and despite having only DNQ'd once this year, I think I'll reserve some doubts about me getting the same amount of hype had I actually sent those songs lmao so I'm not gonna bummer out about that and instead just happy I get to (hopefully) send points their way.

 

That said, lots of songs I already know this month. Sending hype to Altyr Muunilinst, Yobnedorica, Bhangra, Lookylion, Land of DW and Hendinia. Also excited to hear songs from these nations which feature artists I know and like/love: Summericia, Jupiterdonia, Botanikka, Tartford, D'yermak'er, Mulgracia, Cor Lupus and St. Burbia. Bound to be some hidden gems in the remaining entries, looks like a good month to end the year and for the 150th edition!

The audio quality on the Suedeonia video is really poor, just pointing it out as it's a great Britpop track and it would be a shame for it to be hamstrung by that.

 

There are uploads of just the audio too which are high quality, I'm sure using the video is a deliberate choice but it's definitely worth listening to the audio by itself too!

Ducky, could you just post the dates and any other instructions in English text please. The rest of it is all in good fun but trying to decipher that is a bit of a headache and it's basic info that is essential for us as voters sticking to the rules of participation and not getting a deduction.

I agree tbh. I think it's fine if you've got all the other parts of hosting down in terms of being timely, prepared and professional to inject as much fun in as possible but we're not fully getting the basics here already so I don't think it's really the time to pull out the weird tricks and idiosyncrasies? I'd rather a contest was plain and right!

Yeah, I'm not meaning to be moany about it and don't want to come across that way as is it always very welcome to inject personality, and have the individiual hosting styles/themes, funny posts etc. It separates each contest from the next and gives each an identity of its own. I have no qualms about the opening post and thread layouts etc at all.

 

It's just with the dates I need to listen to both semis this week so on this occasion it's more pressing than usual to know :lol:
