December 12, 20222 yr Author Top 10 Albums of 2022 2. Taylor Swift - Midnights So many people are saying they found this album underwhelming, repetitive, and disappointing. I've also found people saying it didn't meet their expectation. I didn't find any of this to be true. I get the criticisms of the albums, read some of the reviews and met some people who didn't like this album or Taylor in general, but for me personally and it's an unpopular opinion that I stand by: This is Taylor's best album so far. There are songs you can dance to, songs you can cry to, songs you can just listen to and absorb. They all come together to form one cohesive album. If it's not your thing, that's ok, it's not for everyone and that's your preference. For me personally, I found this album to be incredibly beautiful, deep, and filled with so much emotion, and feel the arguments of why it's not good hold little value. Also, the deluxe tracks on the 3am edition are magnificent too.
