Keep waiting!

Loves Got a Hold on my Heart is not one of their classics.

That said they have singles much weaker.

While it's far from the level of ubiquity that songs such as 5,6,7,8 and Tragedy have maintained, I wouldn't agree that Love's Got a Hold on My Heart isn't a classic within their own discography. It's their 6th best selling single, one of a handful that achieved 100k+ first week sales, and out of their 1997-2001 singles it's within their Top 10 most streamed on Spotify and YouTube. They always perform it on tour without fail too.

I kind of agree it is not a classic in their discography tbh. Obviously 5,6,7,8 and Tragedy are their two main classic tracks followed by One for sorrow. I would say that Deeper shade of blue and it's the way you make me feel are the only other two that fit that bill to be honest. LGAHOMH is never included in any of the medley performances to promote greatest hits for instance, in fact Stomp comes out more than that one.

5,6,7,8 and Tragedy i agree are easily there most recognizable hits to the wider public and one for sorrow is probably next. I also agree that deeper shade of blue and its the way you make me feel are probably next in line, deeper shade of blue is very popular with fans and its seems to be one of Steps own fave aswell. Loves got a hold on my heart is much lower down but at the same time people would remember the song and know its steps as soon as they hear it but that could be said for a few songs. I was happy to see stomp been part of the medleys as i personally love it and with it getting included so much id say Steps themselves must enjoy performing it.
