The biggest song of 2021 had a god run in 2022 as well, and to date is the 3rd longest running hit on the chart ever! It had a decent boost early 2022 following the Disney+ documentary giving it some extra points!

The bigger Top Gun single, it did do slightly better than Gaga, though it was nowhere near as big here as it was officially, and unlike Gaga's one, it took me seeing the film to finally chart it in September.

Although she's had 6 songs chart, including 4 in the top 20, this isn't her highest peaking song. It is, however, her biggest. I discovered Lola Young's music after seeing her as an opener for Dermot Kenendy in September 2021 and she's been on my radar since! This is a dark but lively track and my favourite of hers!

A late 2021 release, Tiesto hoped to recreate the success of the business. It didn't do as well officially, but the Motto is 100x better so it did well on my chart, reaching the top 20! Its not the last we've seen of Tiesto, and its definitely not the last we've seen from Ava Max either!

one of the deluxe tracks from 2020's evermore, it charted in January for evermore's 1st anniversary. It took on a life of its own over christmas this year though, as it was the song that helped me through the christmas blues, taking it to a new high of #2! Such a gorgeous heartbreaking song from Taylor, and it forever will be one of her best!

#114: Carolina (From "Where The Crawdad's Sing" Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - Taylor Swift | 200 Points

 

We've had several 2021 #1s in the EOY so far, but this is the first of our 32 2022 #1 singles in the countdown. A soundtrack single from Where The Crawdads Sing, Carolina is a gorgeous song that would fit perfectly on folklore. However, it lacked replay value which caused it to plummet suddendly down the chart. It is the worst performing #1 single in my charts history :kink: but its such a gorgeous song and doesn't deserve that title, so Nathan Evans' Told You, which also was a #1 and also only spent 6 weeks on chart takes that title instead :P [Edit: I'm crying lmaoooo I felt so bad for Carolina i've given it enough listens for it to re-enter my charts this week so it is no longer the worst performing #1 and Nathan can take that crown loud and proud]
