Great to see Steps involved.

Were Steps going to release a Christmas single this year? Or did I imagine that?

They have released A Hundred Years of Winter.

I am sure that there was some kind of talk from an interview somewhere about them considering doing another Xmas album but it being more upbeat!?!? Not this year though I think it was more an answer to a question? Or have I also imagined that lol???

It wouldnt be my first choice from them but if they did another christmas album and do a real upbeat one it could be ok and sure to better than light up the world.

Light Up the World was handled poorly so the only way is up if they decide to release another Christmas album.

If they do a new hits album they will probably do something like little mix have done and have different versions, they could do a single 1 cd album, 2 cd version and vinyl. The cd 1 could be a mixture of old and new and the 2 cd could be like kylies step back in time old material on 1 cd and the new stuff on the other. I think if they went with a 1cd mixture it would be very interesting to see what gets picked and what gets left off.

I hope they also do what Little Mix did and have a fan edition where fans can their ideal 7-10 bonus tracks and it's added as like a Spotify exclusive. Or if it's done early enough in the process they could put them on vinyl/CD/cassette.

I never knew that Steps broke the record for biggest ever UK arena tour (which is why they won a BRIT for live act) and also that there were the biggest selling album act in the UK in 1999! :o

Spotify probably work as well for Steps as they dont have the same power as little mix would but i get your point and ideally it would work.

I believe an act should only be allowed one Christmas album in their career (if that). They had their chance and they blew it.

I'd be up for them having a second chance at a Christmas album if they went with fun covers and upbeat originals!

This! Their version of Merry Xmas everybody is great I can see them doing a fab Last Christmas and I wish it could be Christmas everyday. Then some originals in the style of Girls Alouds ones it would be fab :wub: :dance: :yahoo: Oh and they would have to record a cover of Elton John's Step into Christmas and call the album that.
