Wish I was 25 again🤣

Ya me to, life was so different then and musically there was dar better music in the charts than there is now in my opinion of course.

None of us saw this happening if were honest but thank god it did, their split was a bad split so its huge to think where they are now.

How it started to how it’s going!

 

25 years ago on this day Steps as you know them were born!

It’s been quite a ride so far, a bit of a bumpy one at times but always exciting nevertheless.

What we’ve achieved against all the odds is quite mind blowing really and it’s ultimately because of you guys our wonderful fans for believing and wanting to be on this crazy journey with us!

 

We don’t take you for granted and we appreciate every single one of you.

So many people work so hard to keep us doing what we love from management to record company to stylists to producers to stage production to agents and promoters, and we can’t thank each and every one of you enough.

To my 4 band mates, look at what we’ve managed to do with this little line dancing novelty group! Let’s breathe in every joyous moment of this 25th anniversary year and have the best time 💗

May 7th 1997

 

An audition changed my life forever …

 

Never in a million years would I have dreamt we’d be together 25 years on!

 

It’s been a rollercoaster at times but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Thank you to all our incredible fans. Quite simply, if it wasn’t for you all and your continued support we wouldn’t be here today 🤷‍♀️🥰

 

And here’s to my band mates … my ‘Steps’- brothers and sisters … 🥂

I’m so proud of us and what we’ve achieved against all the odds.

Love you ❤️

 

And to our management and creatives and everyone who has been part of our story on this journey… a massive thank you! 🙏

‘May 7th 1997’ - the day that changed my life, the day it all began, the day I’ll always be grateful for 🙏✨

 

Can you believe today marks @officialsteps 25th Anniversary and Birthday 🥳 I remember this audition day like it was yesterday, this was the moment we were told we had successfully auditioned and we were in the band, we were STEPS! And the day I met @llatchfordevans @fayetozersmith @clairerichardsofficial for the first time with @ianhwatkins ❤️

I still remember what we sang for our audition pieces (Mine: Black Velvet 🖤) what we wore, the advert in @thestageuk and hearing 5678 for the first time! So many firsts and so many incredible memories along the way with my band. I’m so proud we are still performing together; next week actually at @aoarena 😍

 

I also met my wonderful husband @jshentalllee1 because of Steps, when he was one of our original Steps Dancers on our very first theatre tour back in 1999. And now we have 2 beautiful children @jaden_sl20 and @starlilysl1 who are following in our footsteps with a big summer ahead 🎭 and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world ❤️

 

Thank you to Team Steps of now @fascinationmanagement and our crew, and to the teams that have helped us over the years - you know who you are and you’ve all played your part in making Steps the success we are today, for which I thank you.

 

Here’s just a few of the lovely messages we’ve received today and lots more on my stories, but I want to thank each and every one of our unstoppable Steps fans for their incredible support over the 25 years, when the critics didn’t want to know. We showed them hey?! 😊

Wow! 25 years.

Really?

I cannot believe @officialsteps have survived this long in the industry.

 

We have been through some ups & downs over this time but we stand strong still battling for the No1 spots even in todays crazy charts.

 

We are lucky to have great management @fascinationmanagement who really know the industry right now.

 

We are lucky to have each other, without our own individual personalities, drive, passions & craziness Steps would not work & be what it is today!

 

We are so lucky to all have loving families, friends & partners who are so understanding to how this Industry works… it’s not easy.

 

We are also extremely lucky & grateful to have our very loyal & loving fans old & new who are on this journey with us.
