We don't get the Aqua performance after the original re-entered the Top 40 last week.

The original didn’t feature in the previous week’s episode though :)

If TOTP were to come back, I just don't think it'd work tying it so closely to the top 40. I'd still have the top 10 rundown but probably not play the #1 every week if it had been there for ages, or wasn't primetime TV friendly.

 

I'd feature a mix of songs from both the Radio 1 and 2 playlists, stuff from the albums chart, new performances of relevant retro tracks that have suddenly gone viral or a legacy act who are on tour or whatever. Just aim to make the best show for a mainstream audience as possible.

 

And I'd put it in on a Saturday night about 6pm. Oh wouldn't that be nice.
