February 4, 20232 yr First entry for 2023 that I can actually enjoy. Edited February 4, 20232 yr by Colm
February 4, 20232 yr Good winner. Pleasantly surprised at Skrellex finishing 4th in televote, very nearly third
February 4, 20232 yr Strong performance and a smart choice for a televote only semi which, in retrospect, I could see Honestly getting lost in. I do wonder what the vocals will sound like in Liverpool without autotune though?
February 5, 20232 yr I'm sad for Ulrikke, but this is still comfortably my favourite entry chosen so far this year, and will likely be round about my top 5 once everything is chosen.
February 5, 20232 yr this song is FIRE :cheer: I’m glad we’re getting something in the vein of Run To The Hills - justice has been served!
February 5, 20232 yr blasted MGP organisers tanking the most popular song in the country and best chance at knocking down the Eurovision competition by putting it on first despite 'Queen Of Kings' being a blatant ripoff it's still very good though, should do respectably
February 5, 20232 yr Author Queen of Kings running away with the points :o Lots of bangers left in the semi unfortunately but I'd have loved Elsie Bay tbh. That being said this should do well for Norway again.
February 6, 20232 yr This was a very good year for MGP overall, the winner is great, and should be competitive on the televote at least, hopefully with the juries too. I'm also very much into Ekko inni meg, the Basshunter-style Eurodance revival in the national finals is in full swing this year. Shame it didn't do better with the televote as it's such a big domestic hit.
February 13, 20232 yr this is the easy standout of what's been announced as an entry so far having skimmed a recap before watching this one proper - strong pop tune
February 16, 20232 yr The live version of this is so powerful, it's going to do so well. The studio version lacks a bit of punch though. And it's too bloody short. They could easily have fit in another chorus.

It's Eurovision, the songs are required to be short :kink: (In fairness this song did have a spare 30 seconds by the looks of it but still kind of amused to see this comment appearing in the Eurovision forum of all places)

You literally just acknowledged the song is 30 seconds under the limit. Songs often need to cut or change something from the studio version to fit to the 3 minute limit. This song is just really short and can easily fit in another chorus. Edited March 1, 20232 yr by PaulM1983

There is an intro (I think it's in Italian) in the live version that hasn't been added to the studio version.

I'm just saying even if it was 3 minutes long that's still pretty short. As all Eurovision songs are, because it's in the rules.
