March 29, 20232 yr Author We are back! 10 Jimbo 9.00 | 4x 10s | 2x 11s My own first 11 thankfully makes it into the top 10. Jimbo was comfortably there for much of the ranking but it was touch and go near the end as other queens threatened to overtake and/or some low scores threatened to pull them down and out. Jimbo finishes up with a respectable average of 9 dead, the first queen to hit that height, although naturally all of the queens above are that and beyond. Jimbo was most recently on what we should now call UK vs the World 1 as the second season of the spinoff has been announced, where despite winning the first two episodes back to back, she placed 7th thanks to what may have been a strategic nomination from Pangina Heals. Jimbo is certainly a Marmite queen with a very unique clown style outlook to their drag, but imo they're also bloody good at nearly every aspect of Drag Race, murdering their debut season Canada 1 (despite mostly not being recognised by the judges) and setting themself up well for success in their second run (despite being woeful at lipsync performances, which was honestly funny in itself). I look forward to Jimbo being back on my screen soon. 9 Danny Beard 9.21 | 4x 10s | 0x 11s UK4's winner becomes the second highest queen from their season with a respectable 9.21 score with no-one scoring her below 7.5. Danny, it's fair to say, ate everyone up on UK4, even Cheddar Gorgeous who also picked up 4 wins, the same as Danny. Honestly I could see some of her wins going to Danny too. With a slow start in the season, Danny soon proved themself to be strong at performance, comedy and makeup challenges, while also pulling out some strking runway looks. In the pageant portion of the finale she answered well, and really showed Ru and the judges what winning the show meant to her. She wasn't my favourite queen on the season, but I have a healthy respect for Danny Beard and it's a shame the season she was on was a bit wonky in its back half. 8 Willow Pill 9.23 | 3x 10s | 2x 11s Next winner to fall is Willow Pill. She was overwhelmingly popular with fans including on BuzzJack during her season, even despite strong competition from queens who excelled at the show with more wins and (arguably) more iconic moments and compelling storylines. Willow however has a Katya-like energy and also did very well on the show despite only winning one challenge, performing well across a variety of challenges and standing out among most of the girls due to her compelling and unique take on drag and ideas about design and performance crafting. It seems incredible that the producers considered eliminating her at top 5! (Her elimination was filmed, but ultimately discarded as she was saved in a late-game double shantay). Since the show Willow has showed her offbeat humour in interview appearances including . More please! 7 Pangina Heals 9.30 | 5x 10s | 2x 11s Miss Pangina, my other 11, lands at a very respectable 7th out of everyone here. I'll take this moment to recommend everyone watches Drag Race Thailand, season 2 at least, where she has many iconic moments - and the other queens are amazing too. The series features twists like three way lipsyncs, double eliminations, two queens winning every episode (challenge and runway), and even a late-game returning queen to shake things up for the remaining competitors. Pangina went from a judge to a host on UK vs the World 1, which despite being a bit of a barn fire of a season, really introduced Pangina (and Jimbo) to a much wider audience really convincingly. Pangina won two challenges and placed High for a third before being eliminated the first time she fell into the bottom, in a strategic move by eventual winner Blu Hydrangea. Pangina's elimination was memorable for all the wrong reasons as she broke down and cried as she left the stage. She deserved better! But is killing it on the world stage now thanks to the exposure from the show. Bring her back for All Stars! 6 Miss Fiercealicious 9.39 | 5x 10s | 0x 11s Finally our second-last Canadian doll to drop just misses out on top 5. (To be fair, 80% of the queens above her are winners so she's done pretty damn well!) Miss Fierce was a force to be reckoned with on Canada 3, being seen initially as a troll and drama queen before everyone realised she was in on it and was playing an overly-dramatic character her whole run on the show. With a very solid track record she seemed a shoe-in for the final or even to win, but ended up being cut at top 4 to fans' disappointment. Fierce has continued to show her Nerve outside the competition by wearing her (criticized on the show) design challenge look to promotional events and DragCon, as well as being a master of the shady social media comment without crossing a line into meanness. I really hope to see her back on another season soon for a second run. Or hell, every season! Make her a judge! Five to go! Who's taking the win now? March 31, 20232 yr Author #5 5 Raja 9.41 | 2x 10s | 2x 11s The winner of season 3 hits what I think may be her highest placing in any of our forum rates following a solid run on All Stars 7/All Winners where she proved she still has what it takes to excel at all kinds of Drag Race challenges. We knew going in that Raja would bring impeccable runways and a gorgeous mug, but more surprisingly she was able to keep up with alltime greats in challenges involving acting, comedy, improv and standup. It was really refreshing to see an 'older' queen back on the show after several seasons where the average age has been below 30 (which Raja wasn't even when she won 12 years ago!). It felt that Raja solidified and ringfenced her fanbase (sometimes tainted by her common pairing with Raven aka the Jesy Nelson of drag) following her performance as well as picking up a generation of new fans. Raja scores a respectable 9.41 with her lowest score being a 7 (mine, in this case). From here on out though, everyone is 9.5+! Who's falling next? April 1, 20232 yr hoping for a shock jaida e hall win ! dakota making top 4 is cute but also a CHOICE
April 6, 20232 yr Author #4 4 Dakota Schiffer 9.58 | 3x 10s | 3x 11s The last UK girl is next to drop after a stellar set of points and winning the hearts of the nation with her fabulous run on UK4. Dakota is the first trans woman cast on Drag Race UK, as well as being a young queen with less experience than some of her colleagues. It was great to watch her journey in realtime on the show as she learned she had some performance strengths she didn't know about, and was even able to surprise the audience by her lipsync ability against the very experienced and great dancer Baby! Despite winning two challenges, being the queen with the second highest after top 2 Danny Beard and Cheddar Gorgeous, Dakota was cut from the contest in 6th place in favour of (unfortunately) unfavourite Pixie Polite who had a very strange edit on the show and wasn't shown excelling on any challenges. As well as her great challenge performance Dakota had some great talking head moments, whether it was about her close relationship with nonbinary twin sibling, or her hatred of musicals which cropped up more than once! Personally I think she was great representation as well as being an absolute sweetheart. Calls came from fans online for her to get a spinoff show with fellow trans woman alum Juriji from Drag Race Espana and I for one would love to see it. The most & queens united :D Just our three winners left now! Still to come: DRDU2 US14 UK4 UKvW CAN3 CANvW ♕ All Winners ♕♕
April 19, 20232 yr Author #3 3 Jaida Essence Hall 9.64 | 2x 10s | 4x 11s Jaida defies the odds from the last rate (which she topped) with commenters at the time figuring she would be a one year wonder and drop like a stone after. Picking up four 11s and a bevy of other high scores following her (imo underrated still) showing on All Winners 2022, Jaida lands with the third highest average overall and second highest from the season. After showing her professionalism, competence, and level-headedness on her first season, Jaida's goofy and wacky side came out on All Winners and it made her all the more likeable. She killed design challenges, making up for her robbed placement on the season 12 ball (imo) and also excelled at performance challenges and lipsyncs on the season. If anyone deserved the runner up queen spot it was her imo, alas, it wasn't in the storyline. Blaming it on the edit. What a star and I'd love to see her live. <3 And then there were 2... May 8, 20232 yr Author Firstly apologies, I didn't expect this to go on until May 23 when I started it! I've had some ill health this year which has had a negative impact unfortunately BUT we are finally dropping the winner - NOW!
May 8, 20232 yr Author And your runner up is.... #2 2 Jinkx Monsoon 9.73 | 5x 10s | 4x 11s Yes that's right, the Queen of All Queens - and looking to be the winner of the (US) queens' rankdown in the other forum poll currently takes the silver medal here. But she still did amazingly well! Incredibly Jinkx makes it all the way to 2nd while picking up one score of 5 (!) from Josh, all other scores were 8 or higher with the joint-most 11s of any queen in the poll. Excelling at acting, singing and comedy, Jinkx managed to dominate both highly competitive seasons she was on, Season 5 and All Stars 7 (All Winners), picking up a total of 7 wins across the franchise. Returning for All Winners her runways, previously her weakest point, were greatly improved thanks to the higher earnings she commands nowadays. Jinkx has also made waves outside of Drag Race and the drag industry in America in recent years, appearing in a non-drag Broadway role and upcoming, appearing in a recurring role on Doctor Who, the BBC sci fi show with international impact. Plus her two Drag Race crowns, guest return appearances, live touring and her podcast, you're never short of opportunities to see Jinkx in action! She's cemented her place in drag (race) history. But we aren't finished yet~ #1 1 Icesis Couture 9.82 | 4x 10s | 3x 11s Scoring a whole 0.1 above Jinkx (which is a big gap at this level!) comes Icesis Couture, the winner of Canada season 2, the dominator of Canada vs the World (and rightful winner in my eyes) and now rightfully the winner of this poll. It's great to see an international queen having the profile and impact to do so and Icesis is helped out strongly by Canada vs the World, in which she bodied the competition in challenge performance and runways (despite not being appreciated as such by the judges) before deciding to quit the show for reasons of her own mental health. Icesis was the first winner to return for a regular All Stars (perhaps not the last though if rumours are to be trusted!) and explicitly did so in order to raise her international profile after winning her original season during covid and thus missing out on a lot of touring and promotional opportunities. It certainly worked, seeing her insta and other social media follower count explode overnight to the extent that she is now comfortably in the top 5 most followed Canadian queens. Icesis was a jack of all trades on the show, excelling at design challenges as well as comedy, music performance and lipsyncing. Most touchingly on her original season, she also chose in the makeover challenge to create her (teenage) partner's dream look for the runway at the expense of winning the challenge, as she put making her partner happy at a higher value although she certainly had the design skills to make something else. Despite her relatively young age Icesis is known for being a drag mother in her community and is also known for advocating for her community back in Canada and also charitable endeavours. She's a queen I have a lot of respect for and I would love to see her if she was to ever tour near me! Thanks everyone for taking part & I hope you've enjoyed the ride! We (mods & anyone who would like to support) will be back with a new set of ranking polls either after All Stars 8 or at the end of the year, depending on our capacity. Ciao!
