Crazy what a year it has been, lots of highs and an extremely sad low with the loss of Paul.
It was such an exciting day! Bittersweet to look back on though.

New interview!

It won't let me embed it for some reason!

Rachel's interview with Express

Stevens also confessed that having children changed her touring life, as well. “I think, for me, initially it was just logistics,” she explained. “Because the last time I obviously in the band, I didn’t have children and it was it was different. This time around. I think we were all kind of, you know, working out the diaries of kids in the mix and all of that kind of thing. And you know, the thought of leaving them for go on the road was daunting.” She added: “But so wonderful to be back together… We were all so excited.”

That wasn’t the only massive change to hit the band, though. On April 6, 2023, S Club member Paul Cattermole was found dead at his home. As a result, the band rebranded from S Club 7 to S Club, and carried out their following shows in tribute to him.

“That was a really special thing to be able to do,” Stevens sombrely said of the comeback. “It was a mix of emotions, really – a real mix of emotions. It does feel like we all – I think we all would say the same – we all just fit back together again. We’ve got so much history and all this sort of banter and fun and just doing it a different stage of our life.”

Stevens continued: “And also bringing that nostalgia for our fans and people who are all grown up now who were like five and six who would come up to us before the show and say you were our childhood. It was really special to hear their stories and share them with our own. Yeah, it was a mix of everything.”

Thankfully, it sounds like this isn’t the last we’ll see or hear of S Club in the near future.

Stevens revealed: “Yeah, no, we are looking to carry on. We’ve got some festivals coming up in the summer, which is really exciting.”

“We are potentially working on new music,” she added, without elaboration. “So lots of talk about that.”

Honestly, i'm loving them as a five they are absolutely killing it and seem like they are having a lot of fun. I would never have expected this, they all seem so into it this time around, it is so nice to see.

Totally!! It's been such a bittersweet year. I often think about what would've happened if Paul had been able to tour with them all like he really wanted to. I'm sure he'd have been right at home, though I don't think Hannah would've been interested in continuing past the tour so I can imagine that would've been all we had, with no new music and perhaps even no US tour, unless she'd have departed the group anyway. Who knows! I wish we still had Paul, but I admire the five of them for making the absolute best of a horrible situation, and finding the light to celebrate. It's amazing to see how into it they are, and that they're all willing to stick around longer this time!

I suppose it's a different environment for them this time. It's not as full-on as it was the first time around, no TV shows, less recording, and they can do it all in their own time, around their other work and family commitments. They can come back to S Club whenever they all feel like it, which is a freedom I love witnessing in pop group reunions. Steps, All Saints, Sugababes and the like all feel / have felt a similar freedom in their comebacks. Their status and legacy is secured, now they can reap the rewards in their own time, and I think that's a wonderful thing.

This so much! I wish Spice Girls had the same mentality at these groups do towards the group!

Absolutely love these photos, honestly it looks like they are having an incredible time on tour. I'm so happy for them.

I agree it is so bittersweet without Paul but he would be proud of them, I hope 'Good Times' becomes a staple for future tours.
