Would have thought Weeknd would have sold far more considering how big BL and SYT were.

On the other hand 'Don't Smile at Me' has sold loads considering no top 40 hits - although 'Lovely' is a streaming behemoth.

It will be interesting to see how 1989 does over the next year or so with the release of Taylor's version, I wonder which will end up on top by the end of the decade

The Weeknd has always been a bigger singles act than albums - it is a shame 'After Hours' wasn't more of a mega seller overall though, fantastic album.

Nice at Dave climbing back into the top 50 with his debut!

Adele’s 25 not far off 4 million. Don’t think it’ll get there next year, but maybe in 2024 or more likely 2025.

I was thinking that just yesterday. I guess it’ll be the same for all Taylor’s Version albums. Though this would be the biggest you’d think,

A good year for Arctic Monkeys who have two albums in the top 40 for the decade and back to back GH sets for George Michael, Maroon 5 and Little Mix who smash straight in at No 38.

Second album from Dave (both climb year on year), Bowie continues to improve, and Becky Hill is now platinum.

You missed a word in the Dave album title :kink: (*We're All Alone In This Together)

That Maroon 5 GH surely has to be one of the lowest pure sellers on the list.

More Oasis with WTSMG on for its 5 millionth sale in 2023 and well done to Arctic Monkeys who look on for the top 20 in a years time. More Ed and Taylor as you’d expect.

Fascinating! Are Oasis and Bob Marley really neck and neck? I’m surprised that Bob Marley’s sales are quite so high.

Edited by GreyAsh

Last year Bob was on 4,860,400.

Sales in 2022 were around 126,00.

So new total is 4,986,400.

16. Rumours Fleetwood Mac (15-16-16) 454,000 (T/S 4,688,800)

Not the highest new entry but “Midnights” is now Swift’s biggest album this decade so far. The Weeknd powers into the top 20 with his GH set and naturally Fleetwood Mac hold steady.

11. Gold- Greatest Hits Abba (20-15-11) 513,500 (T/S 6,397,100)

Highest new entry goes to Harry Styles who was obviously 2022’s biggest seller. ABBA fade badly with “Voyage” but “Gold” continues to blossom as it moves to just outside the top 10. Eminem also shows his back catalogue is still a healthy seller.

6. Greatest Hits Queen (8-6-6) 616,100 (T/S 5,920,700)

Ed Sheeran (now over 4 million) and Fleetwood Mac (now triple platinum) climb into the top 10 but Elton stays ahead of both (and double platinum to boot), Queen hold down the sixth spot as GH will see its 6 millionth sale in 2023. Dua Lipa meanwhile falls out of the top 3 but is at least double platinum.

5. Sour Olivia Rodrigo (8-5) 619,800

4. Fine Line Harry Styles (2-4-4) 635,500 (T/S 705,200)

1. = Ed Sheeran (5-1) 865,500

Well done then to Sheeran who climbs four to become the new biggest seller of the decade and will probably sell its millionth copy at some point in 2023, Adele did rise to the top spot briefly in early 2022 but now falls back to third with Capaldi reclaiming the no 2 spot. Olivia Rodrigo climbs into the top 5 and goes double platinum into the bargain.
