January 11, 20232 yr :o :o :o I knew they'd be likely to be playlisted when they released properly new stuff, but I never ever expected anything from The Lost Tapes to be, especially not the album! I wonder if it means Today might get a playlisting?
January 11, 20232 yr You’re right. Hopefully that means Today gets play listed. That plus any potential streaming play listing could open them up to whole new audience.
January 11, 20232 yr Is this from next week? I do the playlist updates in the UK Chart Forum and the website / Ken Bruce has confirmed this week's it's Whitney Houston's Soundtrack album between the 9th and 13th Jan? Edit: Ah just seen their Instagram that it's next week
January 11, 20232 yr To be fair with you, with each such news I feel more and more that if they had released this album as MKS in 2013, it would have flopped hard, and right now it keeps outperforming expectations!
January 11, 20232 yr Author To be fair with you, with each such news I feel more and more that if they had released this album as MKS in 2013, it would have flopped hard, and right now it keeps outperforming expectations! Honestly I’m inclined to agree. The way that things are going right now is incredible. They’re on such a roll with such momentum and I don’t think they had that back as MKS. Sure the name helps a bit but the whole sacred three campaign was doomed from the start whereas this just feels so right. As we have been saying since they announced OT20, they’ve been laying the groundwork and my god is it starting to feel like it’s paying off

It feels like there is so much good will towards them as well. It’s so wonderful to see.
January 20, 20232 yr Thought I'd do a little round up of what was played this week on Ken's show. I hadn't realised they'd scrapped the overnight play on OJ's show so it's now only 1 play per day for Album of the Week. Monday - No Regrets Tuesday - Summer of '99 Wednesday - I'm Alright Thursday - Today Friday - Flatline

Monday - No Regrets Tuesday - Summer of '99 Wednesday - I'm Alright Thursday - Today Friday - Flatline Ooh, shame it's only one play a day! But great to see those songs get an outing. Now I wonder if we'll see one of those songs (Today?) will be playlisted; on one hand I can see the girls not wanting to promo a song (even if it's certainly cheap these days with digital releases) because it might take away from their "proper" comeback album, but on the other hand it would be the icing on the cake for The Lost Tapes.
January 20, 20232 yr I thought album of the week meant all the tracks were played throughout the week…
January 21, 20232 yr I thought album of the week meant all the tracks were played throughout the week… It does when they're on the actual playlist as 'Tracks from...' however the Album of the Week and Record of the Week are limited to Ken Bruce's show
January 22, 20232 yr It does when they're on the actual playlist as 'Tracks from...' however the Album of the Week and Record of the Week are limited to Ken Bruce's show Thanks for clarifying. It’s still better than nothing. :)
January 23, 20232 yr Turns out I was mistaken (oop) and OJ Borg did play the tracks on his show too but the R2 tracklistings are lacking in what was played bar Thursday (I'm Alright) and Friday (Today).
