So I first heard Daughtry when I went on holiday to the USA in 2006 and the singles from this album were everywhere. I couldn’t go half an hour without hearing one of them.

 

The band easily became my soundtrack from the holiday and every time I listen to this album, I’m transported back to winter 2006 and my holiday memories!

There are seven singles on this album but Used To is not one of them.

 

This is very atypical Daughtry, reflecting on past memories.

One of my favourite songs of all time. As I said, holiday memories, and this is the one that sticks out most.

 

I’m lucky, I’ve been back to the USA many many times since 2009 and it really does feel like home from home now.

It was used as the exit song for American Idol which I linked the other day. It might have been used on X Factor or BGT too though. Great song again.

 

Actually someone probably did cover it on one of the UK Talent shows tbh.

This would probably be my least favourite so far but there is another one coming up that I definitely dislike more!
