January 27, 20233 yr Author 23 | 18 | 13th week Joel Corry and Tom Grennan Lionheart (Fearless) Non-album single Features on What Ifs & Maybes Released: 21st October 2022 Label: Warner Music UK Chart Statistics NE (03/11/2022) | 37-33-30-25-27-22-44-58-63-x RE (12/01/2023) | 21-24-18-23 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 44 Audio Streaming 80 Video Streaming Video n5F-4Dd0LwU Biography Joel Corry “Back Again” might seem like a strange title for a debut single, but not for Joel Corry: When the British DJ/producer dropped his first record in 2015, he was already well known to UK audiences from his appearances on the MTV reality show Geordie Shore. While that program captured its cast members’ romantic misadventures with tongue firmly in cheek, Corry has treated his musical career with far more seriousness, faithfully updating the sounds of classic house with a sleek contemporary touch. Born in London in 1989, Corry was just a boy when the slinky sounds of UK garage catapulted underground dance music into British pop around the turn of the millennium, but he brings the same crossover spirit to his own productions. While 2015’s “Back Again” and “Light It Up” flirted with big-room EDM, Corry looked to the past for his breakout hit, a 2019 cover of Monsta Boy’s 2000 UK garage classic “Sorry” that paired soulful vocals with crisp, jittery drum programming. He’s pursued a similar approach on subsequent singles like “Lonely” and “Head & Heart”, updating the piano chords and organ stabs of ’90s dance pop with 21st-century production values. While Corry’s timeless hooks are perfect for radio, he’s careful to always have something special for the dance floor. As he told Apple Music: “With all my records I like to do my own VIP mix”—that is, a club-ready version that’s a little tougher and heavier. With reality TV in the rearview, these days Corry’s simply keeping it real. - Apple Music Tom Grennan At 26 years old Tom Grennan already knows the impact an album can have. His gold-certified debut Lighting Matches was one of 2018’s Top 10 best- selling debuts. Huge tunes like ‘Found What I’ve Been Looking For’, ‘Barbed Wire’ and ‘Something In The Water’ propelled Tom to sold-out headline shows at Royal Albert Hall and Brixton Academy. As one of the top 200 most streamed artists in the world, Tom Grennan now counts three chart topping singles in 2021 alone with ‘Little Bit of Love’, ‘By Your Side’ with Calvin Harris and the Number One Trending Song ‘Let’s Go Home Together’ with Ella Henderson. Now surpassing 250M global streams, Tom’s acclaimed UK Number One album ‘Evering Road’ has seen him recognised as “one of the country's bright young musical talents" by British GQ, simply “epic” by the NME and “a catchy, dance-adjacent mea culpa that will score with fans" by ES Magazine. 2021 has seen him on the field at Soccer Aid as well as a UK tour with a sold-out Alexandra Palace. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History Joel Corry 2019 06 Sorry -NAS- MILLIONAIRE 2020 04 Lonely -NAS- MILLIONAIRE 2020 01 Head & Heart (feat. January 27, 20233 yr Author 20 | 17 | 14th week Stormzy Hide & Seek 1st single from This Is What I Mean Released: 14th October 2022 Label: 0207 Def Jam Chart Statistics NE (27/10/2022) | 7-7-7-10-8-8-7-23-42-44-x RE (12/01/2023) | 17-15-17-20 Sales: 300k+ Certification: Silver Status: Standard Chart Ratio 08 Sales 09 Audio Streaming 01 Video Streaming Video BXd62mMu1UY Biography Grime attracts big personalities, but even by the genre’s imposing standards, Stormzy isn’t so much a rapper as a force of nature: a 6’5” lyrical whirlwind boasting a powerhouse voice and one of the most impressive ascents in pop music, stepping up to headline Glastonbury within five years of his debut EP. Born Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. in 1993, Stormzy was still a boy when grime was in its infancy, and he came up battling fellow teens at youth centers in his native Croydon, London. By the time he was 20, he had launched his “WickedSkengMan” series, uploading freestyles over classic grime beats, and he swiftly developed a rep for his tough staccato flow and pugnacious attitude. Fittingly, Stormzy performed his 2015 single “Shut Up,” one of his earliest hits, at a heavyweight boxing match. “I set trends, dem man copy/They catch feelings, I catch bodies,” he raps on the song, and it’s true that when he throws down the gauntlet, he tends to make history: 2015’s “WickedSkengMan 4” was the first freestyle ever to break into the UK Top 40, and in 2017, his debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, was the first grime album to go to No. 1 in the UK charts, 14 years after Dizzee Rascal’s Mercury Prize-winning Boy in da Corner first carved out a space in UK pop for the upstart underground genre. But Stormzy quicky proved himself interested in more than just besting his rivals, instead using his platform to become the voice of conscience for young and marginalized people across the UK. At Glastonbury 2017, he delivered a moving tribute to the victims of that summer’s Grenfell Tower fire; at the 2018 BRIT Awards, he aimed a scathing freestyle at Prime Minister Theresa May, whose government he accused of negligence after the fire. Musically, too, Stormzy has shown a willingness to push beyond grime’s traditional limits, dipping into R&B and gospel as he vacillates between taunts and introspection. “I would be a bit fake if I just gave you pure grime albums,” Stormzy told Apple Music. “I’m going to embrace my musicality because that is true to me as well. I love melody and I love R&B and I love pop music. Bruv, I’m going to do whatever I like.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2015 49 Know Me From -NAS- 2015 18 WickedSkengMan 4 -NAS- 2015 08 Shut Up -1- MILLIONAIRE 2015 49 Dude (Lethal Bizzle & Stormzy) 2017 06 Big For Your Boots -2- MILLIONAIRE 2017 21 Cold -3- 2017 22 Bad Boys (feat.
