Posted January 27, 20232 yr awe3m4yVeT4 Chart summary: POP EMERGENCY: Flowers is FLOPPING after falling to #2 :o :o :o Instead, we have a new old #1 with Welcome To My Island returning to the top spot, this time in remixed form! It's only the 4th time a song has returned to #1 for a second stint (following Hayley Williams's Simmer, Blood Orange's CALL ME (Freestyle), and Lorde's Solar Power). It also makes Charli the first artist in chart history to earn 8 #1s (the song's lead artist Caroline Polachek is in second place with 7 #1s). Meanwhile, Måneskin's new album bags them a 10th top ten (the most for any band/group), while Rose Gray earns her 8th (the most for any artist called Rose Gray). Bizarrap/Shakira also earn their first ever top ten by just sneaking it at #10! Nice to see "Flowers" at the top and the debuts for "GOSSIP", "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53", "Fever Dreamer" and "Oh My". Great chart! Great choices Sergej! GOSSIP is turning into a Måneskin fave for me, definitely a highlight of their new album. And the Bizarrap/Shakira song gets a much deserved top ten placing this week! Hey Ansel! I'm not feeling flowers unfortunately but she's always been a bit hit or miss for me anyway. That chart run for welcome to myisland is god tier. I love it. Anti-hero still relatively stable. Loving the run for that as well. Nice chart ^_^ Ah that's a shame, I personally preferred a lot of the Plastic Hearts tracks over Flowers but still really enjoy this! Speaking of that god tier chart run for Welcome To My Island, it's back at #1 now :kink: the remix is EVERYTHING! And ofc Anti-Hero is still a smash. Great to see Shakira's diss track here :P Personally I'm not that much of a fan with the music but this is a certainly interesting direction for Shakira. It is rare to hear her sing in Spanish-pop-style songs tbh x Definitely liking it more than I've enjoyed a Shakira song for a long time! It was super instant for me. I'm yet to properly get into 'Flowers' but I'm a fan of everything else in your top 10! Love to see the high placings for 'GOSSIP' and 'C'Est Comme Ça' especially (the former is already my fave English song from them I think and the latter is my fave of the 3 Paramore singles so far this era though I feel like I might be alone on that x) Yayy at newies for Bizarrap/Shakira and Luude too, the Chiiild/Lucky Daye song is p good as well ~ Yes taste! GOSSIP is becoming a Måneskin fave, I'm usually not a fan of how their English songs seem to keep rehashing I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE but this one works so well. I'd say that's a pretty valid Paramore opinion from my POV at least - my favourite is still This Is Why which seemed to disappoint a fair few people too! I ran out of space to keep the Luude song this week but that one was a real surprise for me, shame that of all his songs so far this one isn't looking like a hit.

Miley, RAYE and Shakira top 10, fab. Not heard these Maneskin songs but I noticed they managed to sneak back to top 5 from the mids so bravo to them for what looked to be terrible for them had they missed the top 5!

January 31, 20232 yr Ooh at Jaeger showing up here, impakt of me playing it on SyncTube. Mostly good BJSC picks here + really enjoying the newies from The National and Arlo Parks (the latter was a surprise as I've not really cared for her music before this!), the two album tracks you charted from Måneskin weren't highlights for me though whoops so another album we have quite conflicting opinions on I guess :kink: I need to remember to check that Rakky Ripper track although hopefully it can go to Eurovision anyway so I can't forget xx Also kinda sad I didn't love the Charli remix of 'Welcome To My Island' but glad you seem to be a bigger fan, at least I still have the original to fangirl over
