December 30, 200618 yr Oh please. And David Tennants camp over acting is 'acting' is it? Sexism is getting boring. And how many things have people seen Catherine Tate act in, I'm sure the people saying she should stick to comedy have seen the 3 movies she did this year where she got critical praise? And she was bad there. I thought she was hilarious but then Doctor Who is tonuge in cheek, well the new series in. It's supposed to be light hearted...well the Doctor is allowed to be that way!
December 30, 200618 yr Sexism is getting boring. Who said anything about that? Some people just dont like her acting. I don't like Tennants either.
December 30, 200618 yr Not directed at you personally but in general all I see is one rule for males another for females. Tennant, I like - but he's camp, he's jokey, he's silly - thats what Dr Who is and that Catherine signed up to be involved in and thats exactly how she was. And if people dont like her acting, thats OK but I dont see how it's alright they accept it for him and not for her...other than he's male. It's the same with her comedy where men often say she's not funny when highest rated BBC2 show and awards are proof that she is.
December 30, 200618 yr I was actually going to make an effort to watch it as it was a christmas one, but didn't because of the bint. She's a TRAGEDY.
December 30, 200618 yr A Tragedy who makes millions of people happy. Yeah - you're so horrible Catherine
December 30, 200618 yr Or you, just dont like her. I dont like Sushi - doesn't mean milions of people who eat sushi bars are wrong - I just dont like it.
December 31, 200618 yr In all seriousness I found the episode great, gripping and fast paced. Ruined by the fact I couldnt understand half the plot. I find this is the case with any Russell T Davies written episodes. I just think he's in his own world half the time and it's all too sci fi. The episodes I've enjoyed most are the ones written by Stephen Moffat and Mark Gatiss. And Yes. Wasn't the same without Billie.
December 31, 200618 yr stephan moffats eps are scetchy at best. russels own words were why should he explain evry minute detail??? you just have to think
December 31, 200618 yr Stephens episode's were well thought out and had great comedy moments. And Doctor Who is a family show, kids aren't gonna get have the stuff Russell goes on about.
December 31, 200618 yr Author Well...well millions of people are just wrong aren't they. In your opinion, yes. Other people are allowed opinions that aren't the same as yours, you know :)
December 31, 200618 yr if they dont get it they shouldnt watch it then Thats hardly fair. I enjoy Stephens work - he wrote an episode of Murder Most Horrid I love and Coupling is one of my fave sitcoms ever. I really enjoy his writing style more than Russell's. At the end of the day I find his plots can be complicated. And I watched all of his episodes and Torchwood - I just notice the episodes I enjoy more usually aren't written by him.
December 31, 200618 yr i think mark gattis is the best writter, he also has contributed a number of audio episodes and books
December 31, 200618 yr i think mark gattis is the best writter, he also has contributed a number of audio episodes and books I agree. It's Gatiss though, you should know that!
January 1, 200718 yr Did you see the preview - Im sure I saw Mark in an episode. It didnt look all that good, I started to tire of it in season 2 so not really looking forward to the return of it.
January 1, 200718 yr Yeah Mark's in it. I'm only watching it because I'm a fan of him, not the new Doctor Who.
