not a fan of the last 3 :/
'The Miracle' I only very recently got into not remembering at the time but listening to recently I'm addicted as it's a rousing, hope filled epic (although seems like it goes on for longer than the actual duration of 5'02) with lots of unusual time signatures and twists.

32nd - Heaven For Everyone, 1995

Score: 375

Average score: 18.75

Highest: 43 - jimwatts

Lowest: 0 - popchartfreak

Polyhex entry:

04/11/1995 Queen Heaven For Everyone 2 {2}-4-8-18-32-34-31-32-27-36-51-67->12

Written by Roger Taylor as his own song originally, this eventually become the lead single from "Made In Heaven", the band's last studio album in 1995. It's the only Top 5 hit solely credited to Queen after 1991, and the second highest placed post 1991 song in this rate.

31st - Tie Your Mother Down, 1995

Score: 383

Average score: 19.15

Highest: 40 - dj_tim_e

Polyhex entry:

19/03/1977 Queen Tie Your Mother Down 31 42-38-{31}-43->4

This was the 2nd single from the 1976 album "A Day At The Races" after "Somebody To Love". It only reached #31, though as already mentioned was later re-released as a double A side with "No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young) which reached #13. Apparently the song was written around the riff and the main line, which started off just as a piece of nonsense.

30th - Bicycle Race, 1978

28/10/1978 Queen Bicycle Race/Fat Bottomed Girls 11 27-21-13-13-{11}-13-21-35-56-56-67-73->12

The double A side including this and "Fat Bottomed Girls" was the lead single from the 1978 "Jazz" album. How much higher will the latter track be in this rate?

The video features a bicycle race with nude women at Wimbledon stadium, and was banned in several countries at the time. Even now it's age restricted on YouTube and so I've linked the audio only version.

Wasn't sure about 'Heaven For Everyone' on first listen but it did grow a lot in the end whereas those other two have only been fine but nothing more for me.
Miracle is nice, a bit under-rated here I think and the 2nd best of the new bunch is Las Palabras, the others arent essential for me and I breathe a sigh of relief Bicycle Race is out at last :cheer:

I gave a lot of points to 'Too Much Love Will Kill You' as thought was very poignant (although think it was more about Brian May than Freddie). 'Bicycle Race' is a very English quirky fun song - can understand why many would hate it though. '

Too Much love Will Kill You is the only one I really like from the last few days

great song even though it was first a Brian May solo single in 92

The Queen version of Too Much Love was better than the godawful Brian May version, but I can never unhear Brian May. Great guitarist. Occasional good songwriter. All-round top bloke and astronomer. His talent is not singing....

And so this only manages to beat its double A side twin "Bicycle Race" by a few places. The 2 songs refer to each other in the lyrics.

25th - Save Me, 1980

Score: 457

Average score: 22.85

Highest: 39 - King Rollo

Lowest: 1 - Roba.

Polyhex entry:

02/02/1980 Queen Save Me 11 30-20-{11}-20-24-50->6

So this wins the battle of the #11 hits by just one place. It was the first single from the 1980 album "The Game" ("Another One Bites The Dust" was only the third oddly). Apparently Brian wrote it about Freddie and his relationship woes.

This was the 3rd single from the 1984 album "The Works" and composed by Freddie. There are 3 more singles from the album in question still to come.
