April 25, 20232 yr A preview of a new song has been posted on TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@mcfly/video/7223807440171601178 Sounds much better than the lead single
April 25, 20232 yr ‘God of Rock & Roll’ is premiering on Radio 2 tomorrow morning! I guess this will be the single that’s getting a proper push then.
April 26, 20232 yr A tour has been announced for the end of this year! Academies as opposed to arenas this time around.
April 26, 20232 yr 'God Of Rock & Roll' is out now. 18vaO7wbUQU That's a great 80s rock chorus (in fact the melody basically rips off 'Crazy Crazy Nights' by Kiss ) and thankfully it's much less cringey than the last single - although two consecutive singles rhyming 'rock and roll' with 'soul' is downright lazy! I'm not clear on which of the two songs is actually the single being pushed though as they've made videos for both of them. Not that it really matters as I can't see either of them getting much radio support - although the fact that the new single premiered on R2 could indicate that they might playlist it I guess? Edited April 26, 20232 yr by Mangø
May 4, 20232 yr I've got a couple of tickets for the Wolverhampton Civic Halls gig on Fri 16th June and I can no longer go - if anyone would like these (at less than face value obviously!) then please PM me.
June 12, 20232 yr Having listened to the album twice now, I can definitely say it's my least favourite McFly album to date. That's not to say there aren't some great songs on it ('I'm Fine' and 'Honey I'm Home' are obvious highlights which I'll definitely be returning to) but the quality of songwriting just isn't up there with that of previous albums. It's like they're trying so hard to make an authentic rock album that they've forgotten to write good lyrics and melodies. I'm sure it will grow a bit with repeated listens, but yeah definitely a disappointing return from one of my all-time favourite bands.
June 12, 20232 yr I’m surprised this is number 2 in the midweeks Why? I was fully expecting them to be #1 or #2

I think it’s their best album since radioactive, and I loved the last two albums. Finally showcases their musicianship, and for me there’s not a single track i want to skip, unlike in the last 2. Hope it does well for them.
June 14, 20232 yr Surprised they didn’t do some personally signed copies at Banquet when they were at Pryzm!
June 14, 20232 yr How come they have reduced the price to £4.99 when they are so far off number 1? Surely if they know they aren’t getting no. 1 they might as well sell at full price. Unless there’s more sales to be added tomorrow that’ll close the gap?
June 16, 20232 yr Maybe reducing the price isn't always about trying to get a #1? They've now also released a digital deluxe version of the album featuring 4 new tracks including... finally a studio version of 'Silence Is A Scary Sound' :o
September 8, 20231 yr Author They've added a second Cambridge date to their tour and also "Soundcheck Parties" as add ons to the dates already on sale. Judging by the comments on here, it's not just Busted who are pure having their fans by the short and curlies for VIP packages: View this post on Instagram
