Posted March 10, 20232 yr Nothing But Thieves are back! They've begun teasing something called 'Dead Club City', which will presumably be the name/theme of their fourth album. :D @1634208143734366211
March 10, 20232 yr I could've sworn I'd seen them as the Hottest Record on Wednesday but it's been removed from the listing (unless Radio 1 jumped the gun before the band was ready)
March 10, 20232 yr Author Ahh that makes sense. I’m interested to see if they’ve switched up their sound this time around, although I suppose they did a little with the last one.
March 14, 20232 yr Author I could've sworn I'd seen them as the Hottest Record on Wednesday but it's been removed from the listing (unless Radio 1 jumped the gun before the band was ready) Yep, this has been confirmed for tomorrow!
March 16, 20232 yr It does sound very much like "Sacrifice" by The Weeknd, especially the riff. A good lead single though
March 17, 20232 yr Author Same here, it's really really good. They've announced that their new album 'Dead Club City' will release on July 7th, it's avaliable to pre-order but there's no tracklist yet!
March 20, 20232 yr Author It looks like this could be their second Top 100 single as it's at #77 in the chart update today! 'Amsterdam' got to #89 in 2017.
March 20, 20232 yr This is really good! Between this and 'Moral Panic', I'm becoming a fan! I should probably check out all their material at some point.
March 21, 20232 yr Wow I did not know they had a top 100 single before (I wasn't paying close attention to either them or the charts in general in 2017). Although just looked it up and it was 'Sorry', not 'Amsterdam'. Can 'Graveyard Whistling' get big on TikTok and become a belated hit pls, that's still by far the best song I've heard from them. There were a few good tunes on their last album too though.
March 30, 20232 yr Not as familiar with a lot of their work, but I am absolutely loving 'Welcome to the DCC'. I'm gonna check more of it out!
May 4, 20232 yr The next single will be released on Wednesday evening after premiering as Hottest Record on Radio 1
May 5, 20232 yr Author and in case you didn't think 'Welcome to the DCC' could get any more 80s, Fred Falke has done just that with this new remix! Q-8SzNQysi4
May 6, 20232 yr Author I’m hoping (and I imagine they will) move the release date of this now they’re clashing with Taylor Swift.
