Well I love Outside, I guess I'm in the minority here. I Need Your Love got so tired with overplay and never sounded that great anyway, this new one sounded OK but too soon x

Not sure I’m going to choose anything other than I Need Your Love but it did get me wondering if there have been any album tracks by Ellie that were produced by Calvin in the past (albeit uncredited). Do we know if this is the case?

Surprisingly, no. I thought that there might have been a few maybe from the "Halycon" era but no, they've only worked on "I Need Your Love", "Outside" and "Miracle".

I actually always found INYL a bit boring tbh and preferred Outside. It might be a bit premature to be ranking Miracle on top but it's honestly such a bop rn.

Need your Love is among the WORST songs I have ever had thd misfortune of hearing!!! Banal, pointlwsa, atrocious lyrics that clash with the electronic beat and cut off abruptly for sais beat to suddenly take over... Absolute SHITE.

 

That breakdown which "suddenly takes over" represents the euphoric rush she feels when she finally gets the love she's been craving for the rest of the song.

 

Sometimes you have to look a bit deeper beyond surface level to get the real meaning and emotion with certain songs.

I remember first hearing INYL when it was just an album track. When I heard it, I said to myself that Calvin needs to release this as his next single
