I do find their version of 'Puppy Love' quite cute tbh and first time I've heard that John Williams track and enjoying it a lot so I think that'll just win out here.

31/05/2003 Audio Bullys The Things/Turned Away 22 {22}-44-71->3

English electronic music duo Audio Bullys had four hits this being the second of these, following on from We Don't Care which these days is their most-remembered song. This one is a nice enough hip-hop inspired track anyhow on a first listen.

vs.

04/06/2005 Arcade Fire Power Out 26 {26}-57->2

Canadian indie band Arcade Fire got themselves four hits in 2005 with this being the second of these. Another song I am not familiar with here, it sounds rather decent though as a lively indie track. Just about wins here for me.

Do you have any memories of the following songs and where is your money going on today's roulette wheel spin.

Just checked on Spotify and We Don't Care has just over 10 million plays, vs just under 6 million for Shot You Down.

Quite a low streaming tally for a song that spent two months in the top 10.

Then again, I can't say I've heard any of their songs in the wild for many years.

Anyway, I prefer Arcade Fire of these two.

Not really keen on any of them although I preferred 'Turned Away' of the Audio Bully tracks but Arcade Fire just about wins mainly for the background music tbh which is quite cool sounding.

08/12/2001 Hear'Say Everybody 4 {4}-12-19-23-20-22-44-52-68-53-56->11

The third single release from the short-lived pop band Hear'Say who won the Popstars contest. It's certainly very of its time and no pop classic really, S Club 7 did this sort of thing better.

12/10/2002 The Wildhearts Vanilla Radio 26 {26}-53->2

An English rock band that I'd never heard of before - they managed 13 hits but none of them lasted any more than 2 weeks top 40. This is seemingly one of their better-remembered songs. It's a rather bog standard rock track really. Has to be Hear'Say out of these two...

I think Hear'say win this one. 'Everybody' is a trillion times better than 'Pure and Simple' for me and first time hearing the Wildhearts track which is pretty decent but not the best of those type of rocky songs.

05/02/2000 Sundance Won't Let This Feeling Go 40 {40}-73->2

A very much forgotten dance hit here sitting with just 15k spotify streams. It's a decent enough eurotrance track but clearly it got left by the wayside over time for a reason as there were many better hits of this style. Difficult to google this performer too. Worth a listen still.

17/10/2009 The Big Pink Dominos 27 42-29-{27}-36-42-42-42-52-48-59-70-72->12

An English electronic rock band who just had this one hit. I did kinda forget this existed but on a first re-listen in a long while it sounds rather great still. A certainly interesting hit to have had in 2009 and wins this match today for me.

I remember Domino getting extensive R1 play at the time, good track. And one of Nicki Minaj's more inspired samples of her illustrious career!

Both are good.

I don't really remember the Sundance song, although looked it up and seems to feature a vocal sample from this more interesting sounding production.

Narrowly though, I'd go for Sundance over The Big Pink personally. Love the 1998-2000 era when small trance hits regularly crept into the bottom end of the top 40.

24/12/2005 Keedie And The England Cricket Team Jerusalem 19 {19}-33->2

Classical singer Keedie managed to get this in the chart in time for Christmas cos well tis the season for... English patriotic songs? The song I am of course familiar with but hadn't heard this version and have no particular desire to ever hear it again either.

25/06/2005 Slipknot Before I Forget 35 {35}->1

Well here's the other musical extreme then, heavy metal anyone? It was their last of six hits, it has been very well remembered though with 400m spotify streams. It certainly packs a punch and for that reason easily wins today's match up.
