Posted March 28, 20232 yr @1640534028599062528 18 years since Negotiate With Love was released!! still absolutely love this song, and the start of an incredible era *.*
March 28, 20232 yr Negotiate with Love... that's the one where the video has multiple Rachel's in different rooms of a house? Loved it. Scraped the Top 10 in the UK but deserved higher.
March 30, 20232 yr Perhaps a bit of a bold and risky lead single, and it's one that had to grow on me at the time. I came around to really liking it in the end although I wasn't too surprised that it "only" got to #10. I think it's actually got better with age!
April 21, 20232 yr 21st April 2003 - 20 years ago, today: S Club announced on stage at a London date of their tour, that they were splitting up! sdwsuM_n7gQ Two whole decades ago. Do you think they handled this split announcement in the right way? Personally I would have been a bit miffed to have gone out to see them & have them announce a split at my show (and they did it early in the set list!!). I also wonder what made them decide that this show was the right time and place - why not at a press conference? This was also only 10 days since the release of the Seeing Double movie to cinemas :o Share your thoughts and memories
April 21, 20232 yr I think with hindsight, it was obvious that this was coming, but even so it didn't make it any less sad when it did happen. I think the announcement on stage was the right one; it was far more sensitively done hearing it from their mouths rather than through a press release or a Twitlonger(!) It's just so sad and so cruelly unfair that 20 years later, in the exact same month, they're a six piece again, but this time for more permanent reasons. It's why for a long time as well I've been suspicious of years ending in 3. JLS split up in 2013 and that was a hard year for me as well as a fan of theirs.
April 21, 20232 yr I actually don’t have memories of them splitting up and sadly I can’t even remember when I heard about it. I do recall buying there Best DVD though.
April 21, 20232 yr Author 20 years since my childhood ended  I actually remember crying a lot over S Club splitting!!! Genuinely felt like the end of the world at 6 years old  think I'd have been more gutted if they announced that at a tour date I'd attended, talk about a mood killer...!! Not that there's really a good way to say it.
April 24, 20232 yr I love how they tried to soften the blow by saying the "good news" is that S Club Juniors are still around.
May 27, 20232 yr S Club "said goodbye" to us 20 years ago - their last single 'Say Goodbye'/'Love Ain't Gonna Wait for You' was released on 26th May 2003! It reached #2 in the charts. FXh5eq86PCM UXhhATE72l4
May 27, 20232 yr Author  I remember it so clearly! I bought both singles at the time  though the tracklists aren't overly inspiring...! CD1 1 Say Goodbye 2 Love Ain't Gonna Wait for You (Single Remix) 3 Special Kind of Something 4 Say Goodbye (Video) 5 Goodbye Messages from Rachel, Tina & Bradley (Video) CD2 1 Say Goodbye 2 Bittersweet 3 Love Ain't Gonna Wait for You (Video) 4 Goodbye Messages from Jon, Jo and Hannah (Video) Very odd that Love Ain't Gonna Wait for You isn't actually an audio track at all on CD2...! And Bittersweet as a b-side (having already been on Seeing Double) when, at the time, they still had Rain sitting there... guys x
May 27, 20232 yr The lack of effort!! CD2 can be filed under "worst CD single track lists of all time" x
