they're being released on 26th May so won't count to this week's chart

Ridiculous... He would have been #01 easily this week.

relatively new artist but the song was previewed months ago on tik tok and gained a big following.. he even reached out on TIK TOK to Hozier hoping he would collab on it as it sounds very similar to Take Me To Church but he didn't respond to him... in the end he ended up getting one of Hozier's producers ''Rob Kirwan'' to actually produce the song for him.

Yeh if I was lewis and his team I would bring the physical sales forward this week!
Post Malone's career is really deep-diving right now

Chemical debuting at #9 globally, #7 in the UK and #2 in the US on Spotify is an interesting definition of "deep-diving" lol

Lewis is #3 on Spotify. He should do another campaign to get another #1 and bring out physicals

Errr ok at David Kushner *_* I guess it's good to have surprise hits (lord knows we need more fresh hits) but I really wasn't a fan of his previous top 40 hit (and aside: feels like that was much longer ago than last year, huh), I think I recall thinking it sounded like a particularly drab James Arthur song? So I don't have particularly high hopes for this one but hopefully it'll be at least a bit better. Hard to call who will be #1 this week, Kushner being off to such a good start on Amazon too seems to bode well for him though? Of course if Lewis is able to have physical sales count to this week that'll be game over (and he might have a chance at #1 even without that).

Interestingly the halo effect has brought 'Mr. Forgettable' back to the top 200 (at #158) but not 'Miserable Man', seems the former has had more legs in the long run (it's still a few million behind in lifetime streams but I guess bound to overtake in the near future now). The title of it is fitting though, I don't remember that one at all. :kink:

'Kill Bill' already looks primed for a real shot at just returning to #3 yet again  Both versions are top 10 on US Spotify so likely should be getting the job done to finally get the song to #1 there, though it's still the solo version that's higher so will be interesting to see if Billboard switches the credits to include Doja or not. Funnily enough I remember saying 'Kill Bill' kind of sounds like a Doja Cat song in parts to begin with.

A pretty good start for Post Malone (SKOB prematurely declares the death of his career part 5838 etc.) although oops at it looking like the clean and explicit versions are separated, I remember that happening with a J. Cole album track before and it took a few days to fix.

Metallica's monthly listener count surely comes overwhelmingly from just a handful of their classic hits (particularly 'Master Of Puppets' recently for obvious reasons), I think it's actually very good going for a dinosaur metal band (said with respect, 'If Darkness Had A Son' is a tune so they still have it in them x) to make any streaming impact with a brand new album. Especially with all of their songs being so long.

Yeah, overall Chemical is at 270,822 streams which should place him at #7.

Really odd that Lewis' physicals aren't out this week especially given it's already getting a big push and now has debuted quite well.

we all saying Lewis should release the cd singles this week but maybe it's not feasible

if the release date is May 26, maybe they haven't made them yet :)

Apple:

18. David Kushner - Daylight (down from #15)

67. Joel Corry & Billen Ted - Do U Want Me Baby? (feat. Elphi)

74. Jorja Smith - Try Me

83. Strandz - J'adore

107. Ice Spice - Princess Diana (feat. Nicki Minaj)

118. Metallica - 72 Seasons

156. Metallica - Shadows Follow

170. Jonas Brothers - Waffle House

171. Romy - Enjoy Your Life

191. The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved

I’m kind of surprised that the Netflix documentary has boosted Lewis so much.

They haven’t done much for other artists in the past.

I think they have, he posted a video on his instagram saying that he’s releasing more CD’s but they won’t be signed as he isn’t able to sign any more

I think 'Strong' did decently on Apple as well (but never crossed over to the official chart sadly).
