That top 12 is really really good, it's a very consistent album and, in my view, a better attempt at a more mature sound than '7'!

Sorry I missed this one, it's my least favourite album of theirs, but contains my favourite non-single they ever did - Let Me Sleep, I agree with Joseph on that one, such a gorgeous track.

I'm guessing Rain was left off this album because it sounded pretty sonically similar to Let Me Sleep? Same songwriters I just noticed, which doesn't surprise me at all.

I didn't like the single choices from this, both Alive and Love Ain't Gonna Wait For You are pretty sub par tracks compared to all of their other singles. I don't think the album had a lot of clear single choices though, especially not for lead, but Who Do You Think You Are, Do It 'Till We Drop and Let Me Sleep would have been WAY better than those two.

Also, Every Kinda People shouldn't have been on here over Rain, it's just a Jo track and it's really not all that good. Steel pan action I guess, but it just doesn't fit, musically or otherwise.

Thanks for hosting Joseph, I’ve just finished reading through all 9 pages. I’m going to do my listen through and thoughts later today or tomorrow. :)

Alive:

I've never been the biggest fan of this one, it feels like a watered down version of Don't Stop Movin. Saying that though I do like it more now then I did when it was released. Still it's the weakest of their four lead singles for me.

Whole Lotta Nothing:

I quite like this one, like many of the songs on this album I completely forgot about it but as soon as it started I knew most of the words. It does sounds very first two albums to me too.

Love Ain't Gonna Wait For You:

like Alive I wasn't keen on this one initially, it has grown on me over time but it still slightly misses the mark for me as a single. As an album track I think it'd be very good, it's just there were better options on the album to use as a single.

Bittersweet:

I remember picking this album up in early 2005 when I saw it in the shops, it was the first time I'd ever seen it. This was one I liked on the first listen along with a few others still to come. More R'n'B and of the time but for me I like it.

Straight From The Heart:

I always forget this song, not saying it's forgettable but it's one that just doesn't stick in my head. I do like it though listening to it now, to I'll probably forget how it goes one hour after finishing this album.

Gangsta Love:

When I see the title 'Gansta Love' I'm always expecting a a bug R'n'B song, but this isn't that. It's kind of chilled by pop dance at the same time and I like it. It's shaping up to be a stronger album than I initially remembered.

Who Do You Think You Are?:

It's ok everyone, no need to lock me up, I love this song! Top tier album track right here! How was this not a single? In the same boat as 'Show Me Your Colours'.

Hey Kitty Kitty:

My favourite album track on the album! Should've been a single in my eyes, probably not lead but definitely a single. I never realised it was Hanna on vocals for this song either.

Dance:

I can see why this was a potential single, is that correct? It's of the time, radio friendly and can see it having extending their top 5 run of singles. Not my favourite personally buy it's not horrible.

Secret Love:

Why do I get Emma Bunton vibes from this song? The Spanish vibes and Tina on vocals are great. Really enjoying this.

The Greatest:

This is ok but that's about it. Not their worst though it's probably in the conversation. Agree that it's probably better suited as a b-side.

In Too Deep:

Jon sound great on this and I think this song really suits him, It's great to hear him on this album. For sure a step above The Greatest for me.
