May 5, 20232 yr Voted - not had the chance to listen to do a usual final listen of the best songs to determine the order so had to go from memory to combine my faves from S1 last week and S2 this week. I don't want this host to feel like this is singling out criticism because it's far from an outlier, but huge thumbs down to voting periods that don't last a full week where there is no reminder sent.
May 5, 20232 yr To be fair, the voting period for the final of this contest is a full week. To be pedantic about it, it’s actually longer than a full week. The final voting period clocks in at 7 days and 43 minutes (12:16am CEST Saturday 29th April to 12:59am CEST Saturday 6th May) We check the dates to try to ensure a full week voting period, or as close to as is achievable with the hosts availability, so that everyone has ample opportunity to vote, we also do our best to ensure the voting period has a weekend in it as we know that’s very important for those of us busy with full time mon-fri 9-5 jobs that mean weekends are really the best time we have to dedicate to listening
May 5, 20232 yr The results were last Saturday night so it is less than a full week. I should hopefully get votes in but I am struggling to find the motivation to vote as it’s been long week. It’s fully on me that I’ve left it to the last minute, and I appreciate we had the bank holiday and of course it’s absolutely necessary and important to fit around the host’s schedule, but would definitely have loved that extra day over the weekend.
