Posted June 16, 20232 yr New banger Out Of Time by queen Slayyyter out now I3FUcbnW12I Pop sensation Slayyyter follows-up her recent sold out New York Boiler Room as well as many Pride Festival apperances with her new anthem, Out Of Time, alongside an appropriately retro & nostalgic visualiser. Out of Time sees Slayyyter continue her penchant for punchy electronic pop, with driving electronic drums, a bouncing arpeggiated bass line and swirling synths underpinning Slayyyter’s soaring vocals, sounding like 1983-via-2023 in the best possible way. Slayyyter explains the significance of her new single, saying “‘Out of Time’ is the first chapter of my next era. It sums up a lot of characters I've met around Hollywood. People with big dreams that somehow get stuck in the mix, people convincing themselves there is still time to make it happen. It was inspired by a lot of my own anxieties and insecurities about being a smaller artist in the music industry. I think some of it came from a place of existential dread I have in general too. I've grown up so much since I started making music and this song is a slick 80s rebirth for me about anyone who has ever wanted to be famous.”
July 24, 20231 yr Author Album announcement :cheer: + Vinyls are up for pre-order View this post on Instagram Latest single Miss Belladonna was released a few days ago. It's so good 😍 I'm loving how polished these 2 tracks are _YHYxw_Yc5I Some quotes from her Rolling Stone interview: The music sums up my life in the past couple of years living in LA and being an artist on the cusp,” she says. “I’m not so famous, but I’m also not who I used to be — a hair salon receptionist. I’m either starf***ing, or I’m getting starf***ed by people.” (Reader’s note: this interview was done well before Olivia Rodrigo sang about fame f***ers.) She adds: “I’m not talking about sex necessarily, but more the way you’re treated or the way I treat people. There’s an element of celebrity in my life, where I’m seeing people I used to idolize but also people treating me like I’m something special. Girl, I’m just Cathy from the neighborhood!” The songs on the upcoming album are inspired by Hollywood and fame and serve as a “satirical comment” on herself and the people surrounding her. The music, she says, is darker than some of her past work as she uses some “broody synths” and was inspired by some post-punk, goth records from the Eighties, like Boy Harsher.
July 26, 20231 yr Just gave both songs a listen. 'Out Of Time' is nothing special but 'Miss Belladonna' is a bit of a bop!
December 16, 20231 yr Probably one of my favourite albums of the year? Dramatic, My Body and Plastic are my trio at the moment.
February 14, 20241 yr Saw her live yesterday with Lewis. Was really impressed by her live, got the vocals and the stage presence. She seemed like she was really enjoying herself too which made it even more of an experience! Plastic and Purr back to back was a real moment LOL. Also I wasn’t familiar with Daddy AF before this week but omg that went off big time  hoping her star keeps rising cause she’s got the goods! Love love love Miss Belladonna btw, one of my favourite songs of 2023!
