Expect more from Akon in 2007 since he currently has 2 top ten singles on the chart in the US with this tune and "I Wanna Love You" with Snoop Dogg

18. Shayne Ward - That's My Goal

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876779272.JPG

An obvious favourite from day one, 20-year-old Shayne Ward from Manchester dazzled the audience every week on Britain's biggest TV show The X Factor. He demonstrated his passion for music through powerful and commanding renditions of songs as diverse as Scissor Sisters' 'Take Your Mama', Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now', through to classics like 'Unchained Melody' and 'Careless Whisper'. Winning The X-Factor is just the beginning for this young and talented superstar-in-the-making, and he should do well under the guidance of mentor Louis Walsh.

Dullest song ever!

Shayne. :puke2:

I just realised this is the top songs of the year not the weekly thread

Oh lord Shayne :(

I really dont think last year's hits should be included it just seems weird really.

I do however like 'No Promises'

So not only have the Kooks been denied a decent position with a perfectly good song, they've been denied by SHAYNE ****ING WARD?!?!!

I've lost the will to live

Well, you got to give credit to My Chemical Romance trying to do something different with this tune and album but it's too early to tell to see if they suceeded with this since Liza Minelli makes an appearence on their album

This is how the show should be done every week.Full top 40 played,no retro, quick album countdown and no inane banter from them.

I totally agree.

Plus it is easier to post from the Prepared Chart threads like this. :cheer:

wow, this is the first time ive heard That's My Goal. I knew it would be disappointing, just like I haven'y hear the current number 1 yet.

Anyone notice that X Factor winners arent played on the radio much?

I hated this last year, I don't actually mind it now. :(

Is this the countdown to the biggest selling singles of 2006? Am confused lol

Sadly this is not the last Shayne Ward track on the countdown! :puke2:

After the success of their Top 3 single 'In The Morning', Razorlight's self-titled second album debuted at Number 1 for two weeks and reached platinum sales within just three weeks of release. This second single, 'America', is an anthem in the making, a poignant account of the band's well documented trials and tribulations during their American tour last year - HMV
