Very low streams for a Saturday

Almost thought it was Sunday data

With Dave on barely 350k

Not that boring unoriginal Doja song becoming her biggest hit :/

Taylor needs to join the cassette single revolution

And start grabbing Uk @1 singles

She totally would

If someone has the fanbase for that

Thats Taylor

Nate made a typo, Dave is on 477k.

(and yes, 'Kiss Me More' was #3, 'Say So' was #2 - 'Paint The Town Red' is still quite a way off being her "biggest hit" yet, 'Kiss Me More' peaked at 550k daily streams. Just a fairly low bar for the #1 right now of course)

Oh That figure makes more sense
I thought it was announced to be released the same week as the album to give it a shot that week?

This is my understanding too?

I hope Dua gets the number 1 this week!

Kworb lying to me then or I just can't read :kink:

Oh if you meant on Spotify then yes 'Kiss Me More' peaked at #2 there! ('Say So' only peaked at #4 on Spotify but I imagine it was probably higher combined at some point)

Crazy how Last Night has been such a massive hit in the US with 16 weeks at number 1 and it only peaked at 28 in the UK. It also got to number 1 in Australia and Canada, number 2 in New Zealand and number 7 in Ireland. What other songs have been big hits in the US (and other countries) but not in the UK? I presume there will be nothing as big as a contrast as this

It getting as high as #28 here was very good for a country (ish) song. Very few of them even go top 100 here (though has been a bit more common in the last year or so for the absolute biggest ones to cross over to some degree).

Ellie Goulding's 'Lights' comes to mind as a song that was huge in the US (peaked at #2 and was #5 on the 2012 year end chart) but barely made a dent in the UK chart, especially odd since it was by a British artist who of course has plenty of big hits here.

But Last Night isn't really proper country. It's more commercial sounding. If it was released by a non-country artist I think it would have been a much bigger hit in the UK.

One that immediately comes to mind is 'Try That In A Small Town' which peaked at #1 on the hot 100 a few weeks ago but thankfully didn't make the top 100 over here

I do agree, but a lot of big country hits in the US are more just pop with a twang than 'proper' country. The point is they're still marketed as country songs and such songs very rarely become big hits here.

Nelly Furtado ft Timbaland- Promiscuous reached #3 in the UK Charts.

But it was a yuuge no.1 in the States! Maneatee flopped there roo, so it was the other way around to here.
