The Olympic bronze medallist did not progress from qualifying and said her mental health was "really suffering". The Briton, 31, has spoken of being "crippled" by anxiety after a nasty fall last year and said she picked up a stomach bug before these championships. "I don't really know how I feel right now," she said. "At the moment, I don't want to compete or think about the pole vault or do anything. "I know I'm going to retire after Paris [2024 Olympics] next year anyway, but after feeling how I was feeling out there today, I'm just devastated and I don't know how much more I can take."

August 22, 20231 yr Hudson-Smith looked VERY good in that semi-final! Wonder if he can pull similar out in the Final.
August 22, 20231 yr Some interesting results tonight! A real shame to see Gardner pull up with an injury in the semis of the 400m, really felt like he would be a winning contender. The steeplechase is always fun to wathc as well, and a shock winner in the women's Discus!

August 24, 20231 yr A silver medal for Matthew Hudson-Smith in the 400m, he gave it a good go but couldn't hold on to the lead at the end.
