So I’m piggybacking off of the thread that gained plenty of discussion in The Lounge recently by asking about Ms Minogue and what song do you think if you only heard the opening couple of seconds would you instantly recognise and that you think the majority of others would instantly know even if they aren’t huge Kylie fans?

Easily what do I have to do for me, the intro was always my fave part of the song.

Better the devil also has a great intro.

Confide in Me is significant for how long and dramatic it is, like takes a minute and a half to properly get into the song, but it’s worth every second. Better the Devil You Know has a very instantly recognisable and joyous intro and properly puts you into the mood for the song. The way the pulsating baseline immediately starts with Can’t Get You Out of My Head instantly gets me pumped for the song.

I feel like 'Better The Devil...' is a good shout, everyone instantly knows within 2 seconds of those opening bars what it is and goes mental!

On a night like this also has a great intro and you know it sets the tone for the chorus build up.

Can't get you out of my head is very instant and hooks you straight away.

Hand on your heart sets the tone of the song instantly in its intro.

Kylie does have a good few great intros overall though.
