It’s like a fever dream - downloads and 2 x physicals all counting to a week 1 single release :drama:

We need a Tik Tok of Alien Robot Kylie making the CD singles and Tension playing over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cd bundle up for pre order out on Thursday… they should have made waited a little longer before using up 2 out of 3 of the physicals they can.

 

They will be chucking everything out for this over the next three weeks so all focus will be on the album.

 

 

I don't think it's bad that they're throwing a bit more formats out there now - it's going to get a boost either way in chart week 4 when the album is released either way.

Hopefully - next week they could do the extended mix / instrumental digitally, then on week 3 the cassettes, then on week 4 it'll get a boost by the album release... if it hasn't taken off by itself on streaming, then it's just not meant to be. I know some people stare themselves blind at peak position, but what made people / radio stations take notice of Padam Padam was it having longevity. Having it enter at #8 and then falling down to #58 in the second week is a far worse chart "story" than it remaining stable / potentially climbing a bit week-by-week.

To be fair; as Joseph said to me earlier, with Hot Hits Uk and capital not guaranteed, they should probably have a good go while it’s looking like it could go top 20.

 

 

They should get the third and final physical ready (the cassette of course) but be more strategic with when they release it though.

BMG have certainly learned from PP it seems - by releasing the download on the Thursday they likely missed out on a Top 20 entry for PP and while it didn’t ultimately matter it’s debut could have course been it’s peak so I’m pleased they are throwing physicals and a full week of downloads at Tension.

CANNOT stop listening to this, especially with the sun out today. Really cannot understand a word she's saying but in a very weird way, that's part of what makes me smile about the whole thing.

 

The video is... in my opinion, a bit of a mess. But again, that kind of adds to the camp of it all, so who cares :lol:

I really like the video, I think I’ve lowered my expectations of what to expect video wise from Kylie now after the Golden and Disco eras.
