Come through with those last minute downloads!!

What a bizarre timing - late for this week and early for the next.

 

It's not really, it's strategic as they're grabbing those last minute downloads to try and get it a second week top 40. They know it works as her fans will scramble en masse to download it before the cut-off point.

 

They've done this before and it did the trick.

Good news. Will enough fans purchase it though? Popjustice not liking it..... while we all know its to keep the song top 40 lol.

 

extended mix will be out tomorrow on itunes then probaby? maybe in a EP with Radio edit?

^^ Complaints all round from fans it seems, but plenty will still buy it - including me, downloaded it earlier.

 

People have been saying all week give us the extended version etc and as soon as they do everyone kicks off :lol:

It’s a bit silly that they’ve gone to the lengths to upload this version to the site which will drive limited sales when (sorry to go on but it baffles me) they could just reduce on iTunes and drive for more sales this week and for weeks to come. It goes to show that they’ve just let it slip, I highly doubt they’re waiting for the right time given they clearly want this top 40 now.

 

Either way I’ve downloaded and top it stays top 40! Amazing regarding the airplay too!

I think they wait for the mids information then make the decision to release as a Store exclusive which means the original stays as the main streaming one for this week. Am sure it will come on to Itunes either tomorrow or during the week to boost week 3 sales. this type of marketing did really well for Padam Padam. Whether fans get tired of it who knows.

Bought it a couple of times to help. Even a couple of hundred could keep it top 40.

 

Personally I'm not a fan of this extended version because it just sounds like parts of the instrumental are repeated and not a lot of thought has gone into it.

That's kind of what I thought about 'Padam Padam's extended mix, this one seems "fuller" (for want of a better word)

i am sure not a lot of thought has gone into it. Biff probably did it though as its his song.

 

Its just an extended mix to grab a few more downloads and streams.

 

Its not a Purple Disco Machine Extended Mix etc or an Alok Extended Club Mix. Its just cheap way of helping chart positions. :)

Tension has been removed from the ‘Pop Rising’ playlist on Spotify already, this was basically the biggest playlist Tension was on.

 

Spotify are really not here for Tension. :lol:

Still 99p on iTunes? Lol… the good will for the start of this single launch has gone to waste a bitsy.

We can only hope they plan to go for it next week, 59p on iTunes, cover of Today’s Hits on Apple, 7’ Vinyl and album boost for streams.

They are likely happy with how it's performing and just focusing on the album now.

 

Hoping it held on to the top 40 so it'll get that achievement of a fortnight in the top 40.

It is doing WELL on TikTok, up to 20.6k videos, up more than 10k videos in just 4 days (Padam is currently on 36.4k). Seems like there’s some sort of a make-up challenge going on there.

 

But this just doesn’t translate to streams. 😭
