Yep Tension will need some work from the fanbase this time i think. First up we need it high on Itunes, somehow get it on First Look Sunday on Radio 1 and also Big Top 40 on Capital.

 

We could also still get a feature on it.....

I got the impression from previous comments when Padam was first kicking around that now she's a woman in her mid-50s they think she shouldn't be having fun with her music and should resign herself to making more "age appropriate" material (like Disco was, I guess)

I like Kylie dance music so i am up for this. Not sure what to expect as i have only heard that 16 second instrumental.

 

 

That instrumental section reminds me a bit of Gaga's 'Free Woman', just realised.

I’m looking fwd to listening to the sruthi version. I liked the song although it’s generic dance, nothing too special. I reckon this song will REALLY divide Kylie fans but it seems generic and lightweight enough to get some mainstream love

I still wonder why BMG chose to announce the single release only one day in advance, when other artists often give a three-week notice. :thinking:

In some ways I think it works in giving songs a head start and more of a spotlight.

I cant wait to play on my headphones on my commute home later.

Isn't it quite common for commercial radio stations to wait if songs become hits? It is here in my country, not sure about the UK.

Not in the UK hun, songs from "younger" artists seem to be playlisted by certain stations and never become a real "hit" l. Radio 2 is really good with Kylie! The song is already A listed on there but I dont think Radio 2 helps with the streaming market as much as a station like capital would do... I may be wrong though hun.

 

Even if Tension is not playlisted by capital or radio 1 at least she was with Padam hun. She had a top 10 against all odds so this has really made it for me. Obviously my hun I will still support Tension single and want it to do well but I wont hold my breath in terms of capital or radio 1 playlist. I think it could go top 40 though my hun!

It's not the UK chart though.

Why does he lie? It was playlisted by both radio stations. In fact, Capital were early adopters and supported it massively.

 

It says they WERE, which is very much true in the beginning. We know how the story unfolded with Radio 1. Stop being deliberately obtuse.
