I feel like I’m going to shock a few people here when I say I don’t know the original to compare this to. In isolation it’s fine, but I kinda dread hearing the original in case it highlights that this isn’t a great cover!

I do prefer this version of song for the lonely, i think it adds to it, i do like this and prefer it to euphoria. Its also a song i wasnt hugely familair with either which maybe helps me like it alot, its very Nicki French in parts as i could easily see nicki french pretty much doing the same cover.

 

 

 

3. No More Tears (Enough is Enough)

 

 

I was only aware of this because of Party on the Dancefloor and to be honest I didn’t care for it much then… and still don’t now.

 

Since discovering the original somewhere between 2017 and now, I’ll keep returning to that!

I dont mind this, i like how it starts slow and you think its going to be a slow number and then it takes off, i definitely prefer the faster parts of the song as i think it works better.

I wonder how the Delta duet came about as prior to this it wasnt a duet i would have expected,

So Emotional is one of my favourite Whitney songs and again, this doesn’t add anything that Whitney doesn’t do (and arguably better) but it’s still a basic bop nonetheless!

So emotional is a poor cover, whitney is a hard artist to cover at the best of time but so emotional just doesnt work, it sucks the life out of the track.

I surrender, doesnt do much for me, it kinda goes nowhere which makes it a bit boring about half way through the song.

We didn’t need another Abba related cover. We didn’t need Andy Bell. We didn’t need this song. The worst on the album.

I dont mind summer night city i have to say, its grown on me, enjoyable background music and andy and claires vocal for me work together,
