071. You Are In Love
072. This Love
073. the lakes
074. illicit affairs
075. Paper Rings

Just like that we've gone from losing not a single track from '1989' to losing 2, back-to-back in one go! You Are In Love was the third bonus track taken from the deluxe version of the album. Whilst it isn't quite as "fun" as the other 2 bonus tracks, it still serves it's place on the album wonderfully! An under appreciated beauty tbh. Up next is one of 2 "Taylor's Versions" from '1989' we have and honestly, I think I love it just as much as the OG. This Love was reportedly the first song Taylor made for the album. A gorgeous deep cut in her discography with a beautiful chorus. May have taken a while to reach the first '1989' entry but... these are not the worst on that album for me! We have another bonus track up next and it's the one she did for folklore. the lakes became an instant favourite for me when it dropped. The flow of the chorus is stunning and it really does feel like we are next to a lake when listening to it. Also losing another track is 'folklore'! This time it's a song that I didn't really see the hype with all that much to begin with, but much like a lot of the album, it's just been growing and growing with each passing play. illicit affairs is just such a beautiful song that is home to one of her very best bridges. Top 15 if not top 10! Beautiful song that I won't be surprised if it was to climb further up my affections. Finally, on the complete opposite end of the spectrum to those 4, we have the outlandishly fun and charming, bop of life, Paper Rings. A wholesome, pure pop number. It feels like this never gets the love it deserves either! Underrated!

066. Mr Perfectly Fine
067. right where you left me
068. You Belong With Me
069. Bigger Than The Whole Sky
070. Wildest Dreams

A vault track kicks this section off and we lose the 2nd 'Fearless' era track, Mr Perfectly Fine which is just so irresistibly catchy. One of the more tongue-in-cheek songs about one of her prolific exes. right where you left me becomes the 2nd track to appear from everbore. This ended up being a bonus track from the album but it was INSTANTLY a highlight from the entire album! It was quite annoying that it was "only" a bonus track when there is so much filler on the album </3 ah well! Another loss for 'Fearless' next as we lose You Belong With Me. The infamous video that went on to win "Video of the Year" at the 2009 VMA's, which led to the infamous K*nye incident. Such a catchy song and a joyous pop bop! Deserved to be the hit it ended up being. I actually don't mind the TV either. Bigger Than The Whole Sky is out next and it's top 3 of the most DEVASTATING songs in Taylor's discography, for SURE. Just a heartbreakingly beautiful ballad that becomes even more heartbreaking when you piece together that it could potentially be about a miscarriage! It deserves more love than it gets! Finally may be a surprise to some/most as I believe people tend to view this as one of her very best songs but... Wildest Dreams, whilst stunning, just doesn't do much more for me! Like I said, it's stunning but that's about it! I also think I prefer the TV! Just so dreamy.

061. Don't Blame Me
062. ...Ready For It
063. Sparks Fly
064. The Great War
065. Only The Young

Kick starting the next lot for us are 2 'Reputation' tracks. At the top of this pile is Don't Blame Me which was an instant fave from the album for me. I think it's the best produced song on 'Reputation'! Just so dark, pulsing and moody but utterly euphoric at the same time! Just a great song all round. ...Ready For It is the 2nd of 2 Rep tracks to appear in this section. I don't work out, but I can absolutely see why this is considered to be her best song to work out to. THAT intro is incredible. IMMEDIATELY pulls you in and then the song just doesn't let up from that intro. Next we have a 'Speak Now' track to fall out, Sparks Fly. I just think that this is a stadium-ready country-pop-rock anthem. So catchy and just a really fun track! The Great War is the latest victim for 'Midnights'. Out of all the 3AM tracks that I'm into, I do think this is the most underrated and under appreciated of all of them. That chorus is incredibly melodic and catchy! The hallmarks of a great pop song! Finally we have a non-album track that was used to promote her 'Miss Americana' Netflix movie and it's the incredibly cute Only The Young. It feels largely forgotten about but I actually really enjoy it. It deserves more love and appreciation for sure. I think it would've slotted in nicely on 'Lover'.

056. I Know Places
057. long story short
058. Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
059. gold rush
060. mirrorball

Onto the next batch and we see another '1989' entry. This time it's the gorgeous I Know Places. When I was ranking the order, I was certain this would be a comfortable top 30, but she has a discography so strong that... that happens to not be the case lmao. Incredible song and a GORGEOUS chorus. long story short is the next 'evermore' track to appear. Always was a highlight from that album for me and I think it's largely down to the stunning production. It's the most interesting song production wise across both 'folklore' and 'evermore' imo! I love the delivery of the melody of the chorus too. So bouncy and fun! Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince is next out. A really great song that I am so happy that she

added to her 'ERAS Tour' as the opening song

. The main issue with the 'Lover' album is that the tracklisting is a MESS and I really think this would have been the best choice to open the album with! Another 'evermore' track is out now and it is gold rush. That beautiful intro makes you think we're getting another 'folklore'-esque mid/down tempo, but then the production kicks in and she delivers a beautifully endearing verse before going into an enchanting chorus. I do wish the chorus was a bit more memorable and catchy, but apart from that, it's a great and lovely song! Last but not least, this section is finished up with mirrorball, a 'folklore' deep cut. What I love the most about this song is just how breezy and lush it is right from the start. It gives me Sheryl Crow vibes (particularly 'Soak Up the Sun') just a bit more chilled. Her vocals on this track are perfectly tender and whimsical. I immediately get transported to the beach at sundown with the warm air blowing and just taking in the sunset... ahhh lushhhh!

051. I Think He Knows
052. champagne problems
053. Daylight
054. my tears ricochet
055. Eyes Open

Into the next batch we go and just missing out on a top 50 placing we have I Think He Knows. I just love how infectious and bouncy this is! Such a BOP! I really like the contrasting styles of the verses to the chorus. Very under appreciated! champagne problems is up next at #52. We love a banger disguised as a down tempo, piano GEM! Lyrically one of her most striking songs. Gorgeous. Daylight is up next for 'Lover'. I think this is the best song that closes out an album of hers (not my favourite song that is an album closer, fyi). Just absolutely STUNNING and a wonderful way to close an album! my tears ricochet is next and this has always been a highlight from 'folklore' for me! Just beautifully tragic. So tender and raw over a stunningly simple beat. Finally we have a song that was used for 'The Hunger Games' soundtrack, Eyes Open. I really love the pop-rock feel to this and I find it very under-looked and underrated. I think it could've slotted in really nicely on the original version of 'RED'.

046. Midnight Rain
047. Red
048. State of Grace
049. Welcome To New York
050. Sweeter Than Fiction

Into the top 50 we go and I love every single song in my top 50. But at #46 we have a 'Midnights' deep cut and it started off as an underrated gem, but then seemingly started finding it's footing as a firm fave amongst the fans. Midnight Rain was always an immediate fave for me. I really appreciated how different it was for her and I love the distorted hook. A fave from that album for me, for sure! I do have other songs that have leap frogged it since, but I don't think my affections have waned much, if at all! Her 4th album loses 2 in one fell swoop next. Title track Red & State of Grace. Two songs I always associate together, except that the former has a more poppy melody and chorus, whereas the latter has that stadium pop-rock sound and vibe to it. Both excellent! Up next we have a track that seems to be hated on, quite significantly and I... don't understand why lmao. It was only until the last few months that I saw Welcome To New York start getting major hate online! It's such a great song and a BRILLIANT opening track! Immediately sets the tone for the album. At #50 we have the majorly underrated & under appreciated Sweeter Than Fiction. Taken from the movie 'One Chance', this song is just pure and utter euphoric pop joy! The verses are so punchy and that chorus is just so... *swoon*. It's her best (original) soundtrack single, imo. Just so damn good and deserves a LOT more love! I kinda hope it's the 6th Vault track on '1989 (Taylor's Version)'...

041. Question...?
042. betty
043. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
044. King Of My Heart
045. Hits Different

Edging closer to the top 40 and we lose a 'Midnights' album track at #41. It's the incredibly catchy and under appreciated Question...?. I see that this doesn't get anywhere near the love it deserves on social media. That chorus is SOOO good and it's a damn earworm! Speaking of earworms... betty is up next! Iirc, this was Taylor's first single to be serviced to Country radio in a while and imo, it deserved a full release. I'm kind of annoyed she didn't do a trilogy video for this love affair story across 'cardigan', this and 'august'. A missed opportunity! I love how carefree this song feels and the storytelling as ever is exquisite. Up next we have what I assume will be the most unpopular opinion... This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things finishing as high as it has! I am an apologist for this song. It's insanely catchy and just an absolute BANGER to me. Yes, it's obnoxious and annoying. But it everything just WORKS! I wish people appreciated it more. Also, the closing performance of this at her 'Reputation' tour... INCRED! JUST SO GOOOOOOOOOOD! Another 'Reputation' song appears next and it's King Of My Heart. I find that not only is this song just incredibly catchy but it's one of the most interesting in terms of production on 'Reputation'. I love her vocal production throughout too. It feels like she/Jack just decided to have a bit of fun experimenting with production techniques and styles. It works! Finally, we have the Target 'Midnights' bonus track Hits Different. Sometimes all you need is a simple, pure, anthemic, pop BANGER. This delivers in that way and then some. The only negative I have is that the vocal production seems a bit thin, like they decided to do some mixing styles but forgot to finish it (if that makes sense lmao) but other than that, a BANGER.

036. Christmas Tree Farm
037. Message In A Bottle
038. I Wish You Would
039. Clean
040. The Man

Into the top 40 we go and we have a soon-to-be festive classic Christmas Tree Farm. I do love a damn good festive, uptempo, feel good song for the Wintery Christmas days and when Taylor dropped this in 2019, I was immediately SHOOK! Not her beating my faves Little Mix in the festive song battle!! Iirc it was hindered due to a random release date, right? Wasn't it like a couple of days before Christmas or something? Bizarre release strategy! Message In A Bottle is up next and the next one to fall from the 'RED (Taylor's Version)' album! Just a damn good pop song and it's absolutely one of the best "Vault Tracks" so far! The production is quite intriguing to me for some reason and I really like it. The chorus melody and hook is to DIE FOR! We love a good pop stomper! '1989' finally loses some more tracks. First up is I Wish You Would. An infectious, raucous pop banger. That just goes off with every listen. I struggle to not repeat the song immediately after it has finished! Soooo good... and then we have Clean which is a HUGE Swiftie fave in the socials! Deservedly so too. A song that's about realising that you are over your ex partner and lyrically, it's her best on '1989'. We get given another great middle-8 & just really stunning production! LOVE. The Man is the song at the tail end of the top 40, but what a bop! An immediate highlight upon the release of 'Lover' back in 2019, it was made a quick single (I want to say Covid impacted promotion for it but Icr if that was just before Covid or not - I know Covid put a stop to her releasing 'Cruel Summer' as a single though). A song which has Taylor speaking about how easy it is for a man to get the recognition he gets, but somehow if a woman did exactly the same, she can't get even half the recognition. It's a great F-U specifically to Sco*ter Braun and co! Deserved to SMASH.

031. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
032. I Can See You
033. The Story of Us
034. Better Than Revenge
035. All You Had To Do Was Stay

Dancing With Our Hands Tied is the first song to kick off this bunch. It's not *quite* as intimately sexy or raunchy as some of her other songs, but that production is stellar! Almost UK-garage infused. Such a great song! An unsung hero from the 'Reputation' album! It's a triple knockout for the 'Speak Now' era next as we first of all say goodbye to I Can See You. Top 3 sexiest songs she's ever written! I really like the intro and how it calls back to 'Mine' with the "Uh-I-I-III" and I just think this song is fantastic. Unapologetically sexy and yet classy about it. The video is brilliant fun too! The Story of Us is up next and I think this probably would have been a few places lower if it was based on the original but I really think her older and more "mature" vocals with the growls really enhanced this song and made it a lot better! So, SO good! Deserves more appreciation. The last song from the era to feature in this section is the "controversial" Better Than Revenge which had Swifties in a spin when the TV was released. I don't mind the new lyrics in all honesty and I appreciate why she chose to rewrite them for the TV. They really enhanced the production on this one for the TV as well! SO GOOD! Just a WHOLE LOT OF FUN! Finally for this section is a '1989' track and it's All You Had To Do Was Stay. As per with '1989' the thing that really sells this for me is the pop production on it and how the chorus just feels so anthemic and how it just explodes. I do think the verses on this song are probably the weakest on '1989' but the everything else is so perfectly utilised and I just can't help but jam to it every time. Amazing song.

026. Superman
027. this is me trying
028. cardigan
029. Lover
030. Delicate

Flyiing us into the top 30 is probably the most underrated song in her discography. Superman gets a lot of hate aimed towards it and I really don't understand why. The chorus is incredible. The country-pop-rock is better than majority of the 'RED' tracks which have a similar formula. It's stadium ready! Just so damn good and catchy and ugh. It's perfect. this is me trying is the first of 2 folklore tracks to appear in this section. The thing I love most about this is how haunting and ethereal it sounds. It actually reminds me a lot of something Noah & The Whale would have done for their 'The First Days of Spring' album. It's really stunning and it's always been a song I gravitate so much to. I am a SUCKER for strings in songs I think. Up next is the final track from that same album to appear in this section. cardigan was used as the first single alongside the surprise album drop. My favourite thing about this song is that although I've always liked it, it's just continuing to slowly grow and grow with each passing listen. It's really gorgeous and I love the piano melody so much. I don't know why but that "tried to change the ending, Peter losing Wendy" line just makes an impact! Such great lyricism as per. The title track to her 7th studio album is next! Lover is seriously one of my favourite love songs ever recorded. That 50's/60's vibe it has going for it is just perfect and ofc the lyrics are gorgeous. Plus the bridge is so cute! It gives me big Christmas vibes and I don't mean just by the "Christmas lights up until January" line. It just feels Christmassy to me overall. So beautiful. Delicate is the last song to appear in the section. I think this song is one of the most interesting and unique songs she's ever recorded. The production is stellar. The vocal production is immaculate. I am so pleased she took a chance on this one to become a single! Deserved better but I think it was too late into the campaign for it to do what it deserved. If only they hadn't messed the era around so much with singles choices! A MESS!

021. Change
022. I'm Only Me When I'm With You
023. New Romantics
024. Wonderland
025. Anti-Hero

Just missing out on the top 20 is 'Fearless' track Change. This walked so 'Haunted' and 'Long Live' could run. This really hit harder with the release of 'Taylor's Version'. Just so damn good and it's extremely stadium ready! Just so anthemic. Up next is the a debut song and it's the brilliantly irresistible and catchy I'm Only Me When I'm With You! The chorus is so damn catchy and I believe this was the blueprint for her pop-rock songs. Even though this is country, it has that kinda rock-pop element that many of her tracks from the following few albums have! She executes it all so damn well. 2 '1989' tracks are up next and both are bonus tracks. First is New Romantics. A song that many of us think should have been given a full single release! The chorus is as bright and as pop as you're going to get! Incredible song on the whole, but whew that CHORUS... insanely good! Next is Wonderland. The pre-chorus in this is SO good and then we get to the chorus where it kinda feels almost stripped back as such before it explodes into a chorus of "IN WONDERLAAAND" a few times. The production really sticks out on this due to how erratic it can be. One moment it's so calm and then the explosion. A great pop song! At #25 we have her longest-running UK #1 smash Anti-Hero. 'Anti-Hero' went on to become a HUUUUUGE smash for Taylor and kinda solidified her as the ULTIMATE modern day pop star. The hook of "It's me. Hi. I'm the problem it's me" is insanely addictive and catchy! I'm so pleased it went on to be her 2nd UK #1 as I don't think it looked right that 'Look What You Made Me Do' was going to be her only UK #1. So good and I'm extremely proud of it's success.

019. Would've, Could've, Should've

At #19 is the fantastic Would've, Could've, Should've which is another song about J*hn M*yer (following 'Dear John') and my GOD are these lyrics SOMETHING! "Give me back my girlhood it was mine firrrssstttt" !!! What an iconic lyric, song and woman. Incredibly powerful! The thing that really sells this to me is that it really could've been a 'Speak Now (From The Vault)' track due to it's warm, country anthem production. It really should've been a single from the 'Midnights' era. It's just a cracking song and I'm so pleased to see it's as popular as it is.

---

020. Love Story

Next at #20 is the one that started it all (at least here in the UK!). Love Story is a Country-Pop SMASH and the lyrics should come across a lot more cheesier than they actually do! They're so cute. I adore the original but I do think the extra strings in the TV really elevate this song somewhere else! Just so euphoric and grand sounding. One of the most fun and joyous pop songs out there tbh. It deserves all the love and then some.
