September 9, 20231 yr My favourite team is Ireland. Even after French win I prefer to have them over New Zealand against Ireland in quaterfinal.

September 18, 20231 yr I start to worry about Wales. Australia will be very angry after a sensational defeat from Fiji. Wales will be fine, Australia are pretty average at the moment. Think both Wales and Fiji qualify- suspect England probably end up against the latter and end up being beaten. We’re very average at the moment.
October 8, 20231 yr Author A hat-trick from Mateo Carreras carried Argentina into a World Cup quarter-final with Wales as they beat Japan in their winner-takes-all Pool D match. Whichever side won in Nantes would take second in the group behind England. And it is Argentina who have booked a date with the Welsh in Marseille on 14 October after a pulsating encounter in which the momentum swung throughout.

October 9, 20231 yr Author England back Marcus Smith has praised the role of Olympic great Daley Thompson in improving his speed. Smith wants to emulate the attacking ability of New Zealand playmakers Richie Mo'unga and Beauden Barrett. The 24-year-old has made some eye-catching appearances off the bench, but at full-back rather than fly-half, and scored two tries in his only World Cup start against Chile. "For five or six years, I've been working hard on my speed," Smith said. "Guys like Richie Mo'unga and Beauden Barrett have the ability to score not just 10-metre tries but from 50 or 60 metres out. That's something that I've wanted to add to my game." The Harlequin produced a superb solo score in the 71-0 Pool D victory against Chile on 23 September, accelerating past multiple defenders to regather his own grubber kick.
October 10, 20231 yr Author Defence coach Kevin Sinfield has warned England that quarter-final opponents Fiji pose "a real threat" to their hopes of Rugby World Cup glory. Fiji beat England for the first time in August, winning 30-22 at Twickenham. "They have some outstanding players, a massive breakdown threat, some unbelievable athletes and they play with a really good spirit about them," Sinfield said. England's defeat by Fiji was their third in four warm-up games.
