Nice little bass tinge on this new single from Tom Walker. Not a direciton I expected from him at all but I'm quite enjoying the track.

 

This is great! It’s a shame his hit making days seem to be behind him now.

Such a great start to his career now he appears to have totally faltered? Maybe they should have followed up the debut quicker?

I was just reading a recent interview with him, it seems that he scrapped his original second album as he felt he was trying to make a hit for the sake of it.

I liked ‘Serotonin’ but it did feel like it was written to be a TikTok hit. This new one is great and the sort of thing Tom should be doing.

Tom doesn't seem focused on getting hits. In a recent interview he revealed that he almost quit music because his label criticised the songs he had written and pressured him to write ones that he didn't want to write, making him feel angry and miserable and he was only making music to please them. In response, he wrote the song "Burn," which his label liked. The situation inspired him to scrap his second album and explore a new musical direction which resulted in his new second album and he loves it.
