Really hard to call

There is zero zero buzz

So my gut says huge underperformance

But sure he’ll do all the possible and impossible shenanigans

Even offering meals 😀

Not many multiformat but thats smart

Cos he doesnt have the crazy fanbase like Lana or Kylie to buy 17 vinyls

It will do way worse than we think. He just posted there is no single, not a lot of formats, no push (he’s the king of pushing) no hype and bad reviews…

I swear I don't write for The Guardian :D

Ed Sheeran: Autumn Variations review – as flat and dull as a grey sky

Plodding, genre-hopping songs all end up as unimaginative ballads, their dreary lyrics littered with gibberish – though Sheeran’s hooks remain strong on his second album this year

The strained heartfelt ballad The Day I Was Born, which commemorates the tragedy of a man whose friends can’t be bothered to celebrate his January birthday. Worst of all, the album is littered with gibberish. “Saturday night is giving me a reason to rely on the strobe lights,” goes the refrain of Plastic Bag, about a disaffected man who lives for weekend partying.

Cannot. Cope.

I went for 60k just because it’s Ed. He should’ve dropped a few singles first before releasing the album

There's no singles , no videos it's just an autumn soundtrack released on his own record so no pressure , he posted on tik tok so make of that what you want

About 50k first week sales. Very little promotion and no single from it. I don’t think the interest is there compared to his other releases.

I think 42k

He is saying this won't get the usual push from him, but I don't trust that whatsoever.

In the US it’s already half price, 4.99 on iTunes. What about the UK?

America is a weird market though 1 week you could need 500k plus for number 1 another less than 100k will do  Is a bit weird slashing the price on day 1 though
