Strangers for #1 next week please. Not keen on Greedy at all. I’m not a big fan of her voice in the first place and the autotune on top of that isn’t too pleasant for me.

What’s the deal with bot streams chart wise? Will all it’s Spotify streams it’s getting still get counted and contribute to its chart position?

I think so but they'll presumably all count as free streams and it has no presence on other streaming platforms so it'll be nowhere near as high as it is on Spotify. (The bots will probably be banned / run out of steam fairly soon anyway)

 

I checked and it is #72 on the overall UK weekly chart but not top 100 on any of the city level weekly charts (this discrepancy was a big giveaway of Bad Boy Chiller Crew's 'BMW' having botted streams, although was a lot more extreme for that, it's too low overall to be a smoking gun this week for XG).

sadly those autoplay payola streams do count, for instance that's how Rita Ora got top 100 last time with You only love me

also Pink-Trustfall first week in the t40 was cos of autoplay payola

Autoplay streams are still actual people hearing them though. I think XG is literally just bots.

Didn’t realize Nines had an album out today as well as Drake, could we be about to see Mr. Brightside drop out of the Spotify top 50 for the first time since Boxing Day

Interested to see Nines' opening day numbers given this is a fully independent release through his Zino Records and not through Warner Records or XL like before.

...and just after editing that post with the correct 101-200 positions there is a whole new update! Now all of Drake's album and all Nines' album bar the outro in the top 100 on Apple.

 

'Virginia Beach' is track 1 on the Drake album so no surprise it's currently his highest but already looks like 'First Person Shooter' is trending towards overtaking it, that is the song I've seen the most discussion/hype about by far. 'IDGAF' and '8am In Charlotte' also moving up a bit relative to the rest of the album already.

surprisingly Slime me out is one of the lowest, same for the Bad Bunny collab which is the focus track on Spotify

also the other SZA song (aka the only good Drake song in ages) is very low

 

 

Drake will have 3 top ten debuts with the album but not necessarily a #1 - we'll see.

I'm praying that 'First Person Shooter' can go to #1. It would be a incredible moment to see J. Cole finally have a UK #1 single!!!

 

About the Bad Bunny song... The song is very weak and pretty short, its more of a all over the place interlude so I understand why is isn't gaining that many streams

But the situtation will be very different on Spotify x the Bad Bunny thing

Spotify has updated -Drake has the top 2 and 7 of the top 10

 

He’s only just #1 with Virginia Beach (530K) and First Person Shooter is #2 with 505k

 

Kenya Grace has 502k so hopefully not a straight forward #1 for Drake just yet…!

He released the album at 11am instead of midnight which could have a significant impact, but there was a similar debate when Olivia Rodrigo released "vampire" at 5am.
