Following their fourth Top 10 (fifth Top 20) single 'Scrap the Monarchy' back in May, Kunt has confirmed on Patreon that he and The Kunts will be launching another Christmas chart campaign this year!

another Tory bashing song this year I guess then perhaps with more of a 'we want an immediate general election' type theme?

As per their fanmail release they'll be using the name 'The Krackpots' for this release ('Proper Christmas') and there's going to be no swearing so it appears the idea this year is to actually get played on the radio then (and to get an actual Christmas song to Christmas #1 again)

Also it uses the same backing tune and melody as 'f*** The Tories' from last year lol

Just heard the snippet today... tbf they weren't gonna top a masterpiece like Fuck The Tories so I'm happy with them just releasing it again with christmas lyrics

Here's the video, still unclear why they're going for the earlier release date lol. I'm not sure how well this will do... there isn't much of a "hook" behind it like the others had. We know LadBaby won't be #1, and it's not trying to a get a political message in the chart. It's just a fairly standard Christmas song.

I'm not sure I can see this even going Top 100 unless they have decent Bandcamp sales we don't know about! Their two big hooks of beating LadBaby and it being political have gone.
Yeah it was lingering around 70-80 on iTunes on release but is nowhere to be seen now. Would be shocked if it manages top 40

made absolutely no sense to not target xmas week so not surprised this’ll likely do nothing

although even next week it’d probably have flopped too, clearly there’s not much point in getting behind a song of theirs with no political message
